Giving bad feedback about a broken package and then getting bad feedback back as payback
AnsweredGiving bad feedback about a broken package and then getting bad feedback back as payback.
Hi Trademe,
I gave someone some feedback (the red face) and explained that the communication was excellent and timely, however getting the product (figurine) with a broken tail possibly during shipping made me give them the red face.
After I gave feedback, the seller gave me feedback as a payback and gave me a red face for giving her a red face! Than it effected my credit rating from 100% since 2000 and everysingle trader has giving me a smiley face. Bringing my percentage to 97%. Dumb. Seller has over 1000 trades so they feel that should intimidate someone into leaving it alone. Trademe people if your reading this, give me a 99% rating. I have 20 smiley faces and now 1 red face.

Was the package appropriately packed, or was it inadequately packed?,
or could it have been damaged by Courier?
first thing you do is contact seller, give them opportunity to put things right, as in code of conduct,
They could then submit a claim with courier if damaged in transit,
You need to work with the seller for a resolution, not just slap them with Negative feedback,

By 'work with the seller for a resolution' do you mean communication? then yup did that, no answer.

Trademe can you tell me why I have 29 happy smilies and now 1 redface and 0 neutrals and still have only 96.7%, surely it could be lifted to 99% or 98%?

Tee, 1 in 30 is 3.33% so if you take 3.3 off 100 you get 96.7, which is what you have.

Hi Tee, thanks for posting.
We don't tolerate retaliatory feedback so check out this page about how to file a feedback dispute report. The team can then review that for you.

Hi trade I would like to discuss a matter where I have been scammed by a trade me seller and I have explained my situation to the seller that can't afford to finish of my layby with him so I have requested ae refund he has stated to me he made a contract agreement and has forged my signature without my consent and he has breached my personal information I have notified the authorities and I was wondering how to give negative feedback on his profile.

Te-whiu, this is the community section where you can discuss things with other members like you. If you want to contact Trademe, use the Contact us link at the bottom of the page. I'm presuming it is more than 45 days since you bought the item you mention as there is a limit of 45 days to place feedback plus Trademe sends you reminder emails too, but if not, just head to the listing via your Items I won page on here, or via the link in your email and you will see a Place feedback link there.
If it more than 45 days since you won, the seller will not be able to get a refund of any succees fees they paid Trademe, so you may want to offer to cover those for the seller plus any promotion fees they paid if you are not able to complete the sale, and they may be more receptive to refunding you promptly. If that doesn't get you any joy, you may have to take the seller to the Disputes Tribunal, which is a straight forward process, although it can be lengthy and frustrating.

Kia Ora tastyfreshveggies, this is the community forum you are on here, we are members of TM just like yourself - we are not TradeMe staff. This community forum is in place for all members to help each other where we can - we cannot fix feedback for you but TradeMe staff may help you if it’s in line with their policies and it is less than 45 days since the listing was sold.
TradeMe won’t review feedback if:
- There’s a lack of evidence.
- You haven’t met your obligations under the Code of Conduct.
- The feedback doesn’t breach the Feedback terms and conditions.
- It's been more than 45 days since the date of purchase.
Find out what to do if you’ve received negative feedback from the buyer or seller.
If you are eligible for help you will be able to File a report
All the Best - Cheers.
