I wouldn't worry about something that hasn't happened yet. Get in first with feedback explaining and apologies and anyone looking can see that, including TradeMe should things not go to plan later
Most people would be understanding of a genuine and obvious mistakes, so as long as you have refunded them if they have paid, and apologised to them for your error, all should be fine. Genuine mistakes in pricing can not be enforced.
2ndlookbooks, ALL Trademe auctions use Auto-extend. When a bid is placed inside the last 2 mins before scheduled end time, another 2 mins is added, to give people extra time to place a higher bid, which of course means more money for Trademe and more money for the seller. This used to be an optional feature, but many years ago it was applied to all auctions. Until the listing actually says Closing.... then the auction is still live and available for bids. It's quite common for auctions to run for over 1/2 an hour past their scheduled end time as another 2 mins get's added each time a bid is...
AJ, if you see the guide I wrote a few years ago and jump strait to step 18. This refresh way has always worked when I have needed to "push" listings through. CSV Export - edit - import - Bulk update. How to guide. – Help - Trade Me
Go to the sold item in your sold folder. Once you are in the sold listing, click on the Refund button. Enter in the amount ie $50 and the the Refund 50.00 button. The success fee and ping fee are automatically refunded to you at this time. It's just the same as on the old system.
MQLs get a new listing number and relist based on whatever listing duration you set eg 1 day, 3 days, 7 days etc. They can't be listed for longer than a std auction ie 10 days max. Most std categories for general items eg electronics, home & living, etc have a $9.95 Super feature promotional option.
Any promotion fees for an auction of a general item are for that listing number only. Each time it's relisted it will incur the fee. If you have multiple identical items AND you list it as a Buy Now Only listing with multiple quantities selectable MQL, then as one sells the listing remains the same listing number so you still pay just one promotional fee per listing, but your listing stays till the items either sells out, or the end time of the listing is reached. Good idea when doing this is to set the listing to be a 10 day listing, that way you only pay the promotional fee once per 10 da...
It's always been the way with My Products that activating from within an individual product, makes it list immediately. Likewise, since day one of MP, it's always been that activating more than 1 item by selecting and clicking activate means the items list in a process that can take extra time depending on how many other people are listing at the same time and where in the TM MP periodic processing schedule you are. It used to be every 20 mins, but was often quicker than that depending on where you were in that 20 min window. The more people that are using MP, the longer it will take for pr...
Yep, as long as you name photos well, it's easy.
Westham, the reason shipping is different for Buy Now Only listings vs "auctions", is that these can be bought combined in Trademe's shopping cart function, and with Buy Now only listings that are often MQLs (Multi Quantity Listings), buyers can select more than 1 item at a time and pay one shipping charge, if that's something the seller offers. The seller can also specify shipping is per item, not per order. MP (My Products) also offers Shopping cart adjustable discounts that are applied automatically when a buyer chooses to buy through the cart eg Free shipping when a buyer orders 4 items...
