Real estate email alerts not working

Hi Nicolo, thanks for posting. It's strange that this was working fine but then no longer is after a slight change to the refinements. 

I would suggest checking out this Help article and trying the suggestions there, to just rule out the possibility that the messages are now being deleted upon receipt as Junk. If in a day or so you're still not getting any of them, report back and we can take another look.

Other alerts are working correctly, so it's not an email issue.

Still not working. Tried logging off, clearing cache, everything. Those alerts simply do not work.

Sorry to read that, Nicolo. I understand you're receiving other messages but have you tried adding those suggested email domains to your safe senders list? Just want to exhaust all troubleshooting options that will be run through if this progresses.

Done. Didn't help at all. New alerts from other section DO work (even without the change). I also always check the spam folder. No dice. They clearly never make it.

That's very disappointing. One would expect such a central feature to actually work, or at least Trademe to care about it if it doesn't.

We certainly care, Nicolo. We have a case to get this issue fixed and I will keep everyone updated in here as and when there are any developments.

Thanks S. I mentioned the case in the official comment that can be seen at the top of this post 8 days ago - I'd hoped that being up there and marked as official would draw more attention to it! Perhaps I should 'unofficial' it? We use that tool from time to time and were planning to up it a little more, but perhaps I will rethink that! 😄

Cheers Lucy it is Absolutely fine to be an Official Statement - it may just be better placed following the Comments in correct order than being at the top - that way reading in order it may encourage requests for updates rather than looking like it's been abandoned - an Official Statement at top with a "Update Below" link to the Official Comment below in it's rightful order would work well - Cheers 😊

I’m thinking not, as I have the same issue and frustrations as discussed 8 months ago in this thread between Nicolo and Lucy.
Can someone please provide an update.

May 2024 - still not fixed. Experiencing the exact same issue. Other favourite listings are coming through - just not property.

Kia ora Max, we're working on a fix for this, in the mean time you'll need to go into your saved searches and filter by ‘Latest listings’. Once we have fixed this issue I'll pop an update here.

Kia ora. Thanks for the update - that is exactly what I (and maybe others) have been doing.  It is good you have provided that tip for newcomers to this thread who may not yet know about that. 

Has this issue been posted anywhere to save others the frustration and need to come looking for this support thread? 

It's now over two years since this was reported. Trade Me acknowledged that it was a bug two years ago and said it would be fixed.

It still hasn't been fixed. Why not? When will it be fixed?

If it's never going to be fixed, tell us that.

I am having the same issues as Nicolo and others. I also cant relist my trade me items, do not get favourite listings via email anymore, listings I have been watching and miss out on are not showing on my "lost" tab and numerous other issues. My trade me account has not been the same and worked effieciently since the upgrade. I am wondering if I need to cclose account and start again. Any advise would  be great. 

Kia ora Priscilla, sorry to hear you're having this trouble. We are making changes to the site and some features are currently unavailable, including quick relist. With listings not showing on your lost items there is a known issue for some members where some listings aren't showing. How are you accessing the site, via one of the apps or the desktop site? If it's one of the apps check for updates, if none are showing try deleting the app and reinstalling it. Also if you're using an app try using the desktop site and vice versa. With your favourites, check that they are not going to your spam folder and make sure you have our email addresses set as safe senders. If you're still aren't receiving our emails or listings still aren't showing in your lost folder, hop onto live chat and ask to "talk to a person" and someone will take a look.

I am also having this issue. I get used office chair emails fine but not real estate ones. Very frustrating so would be great to get an update on when this issue will be fixed

Kia ora Sol, sorry to hear you're having problems with this. Go to your favourites and check the settings you have on all three tabs "Searches', "Categories", and "Sellers". If these are all set up to email you and you still aren't getting favourites emails for property, let us know.
