When is TradeMe going to fix their on going glitch on their new site ?
I recently made a few bids using the desk top site on my laptop.I couldn't bid on on Bid Bud as the seller was using the new site to list their listings.I won several auctions & missed out on a couple.You can tell it's the new site as the auctions are always KP-****** numbers.This new site will kill off Bid Bud as these auctions can't be accessed thru their site.Anyway my main complaint is everything that is on my watchlist that I have either won or missed out on or even just watching ends,everything & I mean everything disappears from the desktop site (which is my main domain).I have to go to my mobile phone to see what I have won or lost & I have to contact the seller via the e-mail link from the mobile site only.Goodness knows how many hundreds/thousands of sales are lost every day if people rely solely on their desk top site as a seller has no way of knowing who was on their watchlist in order to post a fixed price offer post auction.This has been going on for many months now & TradeMe know about it & have done nothing !!!!! Absolutely ridicious.The thing I can't understand also is how the serial problem solvers on this site never really remark about it ? Is it just me that thinks this is a major problem ?

Hi Phil. There have been many, many posts about the problems people are having with the new look on TM. Most frustrating. I found one from a few months ago, see below. Apparently there were a lot that were removed by trade me to er, keep the message board tidy so as not to double up on the same issue....

The problem is that the problems still exist 6 months on.What have the TradeMe techs. been doing in this time ? The whole functionality of this site is generally a nightmare.Don't they realise that many traders still use desktop.Not everyone spend 24/7 on their mobile phones.

Hi Phil. Trade Me have suggested this problem is targetted to be fixed "early in 2025" Refer to the link at the bottom.
As for bidbud, yes, Andrew has said that he will keep it going as long as he can, but it's likely to die once everything switches over to the KP stuff. He reckons he could possibly work on a fix, but isn't interested, even with people offering to throw him money. He was in it for fun, and the fun has gone.

I have absolutely no idea why the problems are still ongoing. Many of us got on the message board here, contacted TM in many different ways. Some wrote to them. Some go to the tell us what you think link at the bottom of the TM pages. But it still goes on. And yes as Callum says above it has taken the fun out of trading. :(

Thanks Callum for that link.It states it will include the following in the new year (should have already been done as they are quite important).
- Success fee refunds
- Estimated courier costs in the list flow
- Book a courier for your sold items
- Ability to change the category your item is listed in
- Ability to add a buy now to an existing auction
- Fixed Price Offer
- Make an Offer
- Remove lead bid
But there is nothing saying auctions won't disappear from the desktop site like they are happening now.Are they trying to get rid of all their desktop users & want to concentrate on the mobile app. users who can access their wonderful new site full of glitches !

Items disappearing is a known Confirmed Bug in the system,
Refer to Post: disappearing items – Help - Trade Me
Are you on the Classic (Old) Desktop site or on the New Look Desktop site?
If you are on the Classic site you can select Mobile from the bottom of the page screen which will take you to the New Look Desktop site. - The KP- reference numbers can only currently be viewed on the New Look Desktop site & on the Apps. - Cheers.

Thanks for that.I try to avoid the new look desktop site like the plague but you can see the auctions you won by selecting the mobile option.It also shows what you missed out on but any that were on my watchlist that I didn't bid on have vanished into thin air.

flossy63 Community SuperuserRe bid bud: even though we can no longer bid through it on some auctions, I did ask a close relative whom I associate with through a charity organization we are involved with, if Andrew will just leave it live & live on, so we can still use the blacklist feature, watchlist, feedback page etc. which he thinks he possibly may, so lets hope?,as the feedback page on new format is horrendous to even look at, I absolutely hate it, I have book marked the old format so copy and paste member number into it, bingo, otherwise just go to bidbud,0

Phil,
If you note down the Listing numbers of those watchlist items which you haven't made a bid on you will be able to pull the Listing up via a quick search on the system regardless if it sold or not. - Not ideal I know though is a way to track them in the interim - Cheers.

I can't even look on trade me anymore. I know it sounds ridiculous but I can only get on this community page, that is unless I download a new browser of their choice. It's ridiculous I don't want to use those browsers. I don't want to install yet another browser. I also don't want to be dictated to. Why has this been changed? I can now only access on my phone so I guess its goodbye trademe and hello to another selling and buying site. Most people now use marketplace anyway so sionara its been fun

Trademe recommend and use Chrome but I myself use Edge and have no probs at all. There are several other sites that I use daily that won't run properly on Edge, but I access those ones via Chrome, but not a hassle to swap between the two.
