disappearing items
Confirmed buganyone else getting real tired of trademe's garbage new system, where half the items you were watching but missed/didnt bid...just vanish, not turning up on your lost items list
and a bunch of stuff not allowing requests for sellers to relist/offer price

Yes it is still happening.Once auction has finished with sellers using the new site it vanishes off your lost list.I thought it was just on desktop but I had multiple auctions on my watchlist that went unsold that have now "Vanished" from the mobile app..The only time it doesn't disappear is if you win the auction but only then it is only visible on the mobile app. of my phone.I'm beginning to think it's only me & a few other traders like 'Fonncya" above as I never see the serial "fix it up" fellow trademe members ever mention it ? This has been going on for many weeks now & the thing I'm sick of the most with the new site is you can't even bid from "bid-bud" which is my go to site that is actually so far much easier to use than the so called new better trademe.

Sick & tired of the same problems. Today, Tues, has been the worst day so far for it. Every item on my watchlist disappeared post-auction & were able to be found only via looking up expired auctions but it still then doesn't list the bidders or enable you to view unanswered questions. I too have also asked for answers from Trade Me & am awaiting some form of response but that may ultimately prove less than helpful. T Me was a pretty reliable site for a longtime & now it's majorly on the slide. I guess Marketplace will just continue to take their business & sales away in droves.

Kia ora everyone, we’re upgrading some background systems that power Trade Me. While we do this, some features won't be available on certain listings.
In the case of fixed price offers, you’ll need to relist instead. Watchers will be notified it’s back up for grabs provided they’re opted in for these emails in their preferences.Keep giving us feedback through ‘Tell us what you think’ on the site, and of course keep sharing questions, tips, tricks and workarounds on Community.

I agree, its really annoying when an auction closes and it doesn't go to lost items, can ask for relist or offer anymore and like to see what an item sells for. Not always getting notified that an auction is closing in an hour, so you can't even see if seller has other listings you can ask to relist or post an offer on.

Yes it is still happening.I had a auction on my watchlist I was interested in.It didn't sell.The seller quite often places a lower offer to me if one of their auctions fails to sell.But they have no way of doing this as they used the so called "new site" & now the auction has vanished from the site.They have no way of knowing who their "watchers" are & if it did sell other trademe members have no idea what it sold for,who the buyer was e.t.c. because it's gone,never to be seen again.I'm staggered to think how many sales are being missed out as a result of TradeMe doing nothing about this known glitch.It's been going on for a couple of months now.Never hear from our regular trademe problem solvers about this issue.Or doesn't it affect them ? And it annoys me that all listings using the new site,you can't bid using "Bid-Bud".Eventually if they do away with the old site altogether does this mean "bidbuds" dies altogether ? That site is my go to place to list & bid.Without it I would consider going elsewhere.

still an issue 3 months on. And yes, Bidbud looks like it will be consigned to history. It's such a shame as it's so much easier to use and has features TM still haven't implemented

Yes still an issue ! You would think it would be a priority of theirs as it affects sale but no it must have been put at the bottom of the list.An absolute disgrace if you ask me.

I have been seeing this too and it’s a real pain. Just today an auction I had on my Watchlist closed with another member winning. I received a push notification on my phone, but there is nothing in the Lost section. Another weird example was an auction that my friend won and I had watchlisted did appear in my Lost items but as “closed and did not sell”. Just lots of buggy behaviour that really needs to be sorted out.

I'm getting listings that are disappearing before the listing even finishes, had one which I was watching that still had 3 days left. But its gone, and there was no buy now on the listing.

Unfortunately similar issues have been ongoing for the past several months. Trade Me definitely does not view it as a high priority & there seems to be no end in sight regarding improvements being made.

One of the listings I'm looking at currently has no option to bid, buy or watch. Its just empty.

Would you by any chance be using the Android App?
There is a recent Confirmed Bug with the Android App which has no Bid or Buy Now options appearing on Listing views - the workaround is to go through the Desktop site or an iPad/or iOS mobile.

I'm getting this problem across the entire platform on every device. I've tried using different browser types, the app and browsers on mobile phones. I don't own any apple devices to test.

I've followed your comments on the other Post No Bid or Buy Now option,
The first supplied Listing number has indeed closed on TradeMe which is why you aren't seeing any Bid placement or watchlist options within the Listing itself. - We can't check the 2nd Listing number you provided as it's missing a digit. - Cheers.

Note:
Listings which are closing before end date have likely had the 'Make an Offer' available & Accepted which automatically closes the Listing then & there, ahead of the original end date. - Cheers.

Happened yesterday. Did the two items sell? Who knows.
Updated App on Samsung Tablet but no joy. Not found on Desktop computer.

A search of the Listing numbers onsite should bring the Listings up whether they're closed or still Live - If you don't have the Listing numbers for both items - Run a search on the Desktop site > Select the blue Refine Tab > scroll to the bottom of the Drop Down menu & select Expired Listings > run a part search of the Listing Title you may find the Listings if they have indeed expired.

I have managed to bring the listing up. It does not show as sold. Usually there is the option to ask the seller to relist or offer a fixed price. Thete is none of that. Still puzzled in respect of how it disappeared.
Listing was 5242853716.

Let's just be honest. As a Trade Me member you shouldn't have go through the rigmarole of having to do this, saving an item to your watchlist should be sufficient. Please sort your many & varying problems out Trade Me in a timely fashion.

I've just had a relook at that Listing - As it doesn't provide the Relist or FPO requests & has no sign of a Buyer you may like to save the Seller to your Favourites so you are emailed daily with their New Listings in case this is relisted. - Had the Seller had any further Listings running you would have been able to put a query through one of those, in this case there are no other Listings as yet. - Hope this helps coming forward in the interim until we see some normality in Trading Features return. - All the Best! - Cheers.

Over six months ago this problem was reported so TradeMe have known about it since then & still haven't done anything about it ! I find it unbelievable that a business has nox fixed a known glitch which affects sales for many months.Think of all the sales that have gone begging as sellers have not been able to offer fixed price offers & yet we are told to wait during the interim & in the mean time we are to save auction numbers so that we can find it post auction.Talk about the dark ages !

Yes, the saving auction numbers is laughable, pen & paper at the ready! Trade Me was really so good for so long but it's now teetering on being obsolete for many Kiwis. The fees scared many off & the various continuing unresolved problems aren't winning many favours with those that remain. I'd love to see the sell-through percentages, I'm picking that they are at a very low level.

I must agree it would be lovely, if listings that were placed on your watchlist, ultimately remained there through the close of the auction. Is the anniversary date of this problem nigh on the horizon?

There was a time when several new 'trading' sites tried to topple Trademe, and everyone knew they didn't stand a chance. If they were to try again now, I could see a mass exodus to a new option. There have been 'upgrades' going for months and months and months. And things that worked are now broken....handy things have now been removed.....ways that things worked, removed or replaced with a inferior system.....and the whole site is a mess. Is it arrogance that they don't seem to care, and bother to fix anything? I'm sick to death of finding workarounds, and a simple task that used to take 2 minutes....now takes half an hour!! A site that had huge loyalty has over time, systematically hacked off its users and pushed them away. Not a very good business model if you ask me!
