Aramex Says We Must Phone Them
I booked Aramex for my Auction: https://www.trademe.co.nz/MyTradeMe/PurchaseSummary.aspx?asid=229525775&isBuyer=False
They have not picked up the parcel.
So the Trader who won the auction rang them.
Aramex told him that I am required to ring Aramex to organise PickUp!
So it seems that we not only need to book Aramex on TradeMe - but we MUST also phone them to organise pick-up!!!

Personally I found google reviews to be very accurate, especially if a company has over 100, that is a pretty decent sample size - if you look at the Chch branch, they have 1019 reviews and a 2.1 star rating, I believe that this is only because it is not possible to give zero stars. (It would be lower).
The place I work at has 1536 google reviews and a 4.1 rating, this shows that happy people do bother to leave reviews.
Pack and Send Riccarton is a bit of a new player with 150 reviews, but they do come with a 4.7 star rating, just saying, if you are looking for other options ...

How many many thousands of parcels they deal with a day?, think about volumes they would deal with a month, a year, over many years, and there is only 1019 reviews over how many years?, that is a very very tiny percentage in reality, less than amount of parcels they would handle daily, that is why they are in no way accurate, believe them if you want, but they are not factual, why do people not understand that and think about it,
and that is the Christchurch branch, others maybe better, so you cannot judge the company as a whole on just one area,
if every parcel got a review you would see more happy people then unhappy that is for sure, the unhappy would be a very tiny percentage, but no some people just believe what they read, without putting things into perceptive,
All Couriers have the same issues,

I've just had awful experience with aramex....I cancelled the delivery after 3 days of waiting and I had to leave the town I was in for pick up to go back home. They've refunded me $220 back to my trade me account, not my credit card. How do I get the money out of trade me? Has anyone done it? I can't afford to pay twice for the same service and TM aren't replying to my emails....help!

My trade was collected from Christchurch on 29/12/23. In the first instance they could not find it, they searched their warehouse and yes they found it and it has been sitting in Wellington since 8/1/24, I wrote and rang and no news. TradeMe users should NEVER EVER use Aramex. NEVER EVER. From now on any purchase I make before I confirm it I will inquire from the seller which courier service they use, if they use Aramex, I will not buy from that seller.

Hi, just reporting that I've had this problem with the Dunedin service. Two pickups scheduled through Trade Me. When they didn't collect when expected, I called the Dunedin depot for Aramex and spoke to the support agent. There was no record for my address, including the two current and a third recently booked. She then advised I need to call after each scheduled request through Trade Me to arrange pickup of the item(s). Didn't push it over the call as it was apparent the agent was only trying to help and it was outside of her control. I've not had this problem with NZ Post and they have been collecting without problem up until today. Thought I was saving my buyers a few dollars but it looks like I'm making a mistake.

Hi, does anyone have a phone number for Aramex in Wellington? I called one I found with 04 and it went off shore. I left 4 messages on different days! I have been waiting since 26/01/2024 for 2 parcels to be picked up. One buyer got pretty nasty so I had to refund the whole sale. Don’t get a reply from Trademe or Aramex. Do agree that Trademe should not partner with Aramex.

There is only the 1 Wellington 04 number - You can try making contact through the 0800 number.
You can contact TM staff through their "Live Chat" facility for direct assistance rather than waiting day(s) for a response to your enquiry request - Select the Contact us Link at the bottom of any TM page, give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once the Chat icon is selected - Talk to person - you will be taken to entering your details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff.The manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm- Cheers.0 -
Mark I have had the exact same experience - every day Aramex customer service say "we will pick up tomorrow!' and then never come. I finally gave up, cancelled the bookings and re-booked with NZ post. Now when I list things for sale I don't use the 'calculate the courier cost for me' and instead say I will give them a shipping quote with their address as I cannot send Aramex. They are not worth the trouble.

Aramex picked up a parcel did not scan it and it took over a week to arrive, after complaining
Next time I stupidly used them they did not turn up after constant calls to be told they would send him out (It is a him as he drove by but never stopped by) I ended up, after a week, taking all the parcels to Aramex, they did not care about my complaint, so now I have had to put my postage charges up so I can only use NZPost

Hi Brigid, sign up to GoSweetSpot, then you don't have to use one carrier, you can choose the cheapest for each parcel/address combination.

Here I thought maybe I was the only one who has this problem with Aramex because I live in a semi-rural area. I have also stopped using Aamex and I pay around $2 or so more for NZ post, and its worth every cent to avoid the Aramex's frustrating service.

I've had this issue with my last two parcels with Aramex. they just don't pick up the tracking number is not valid. Trade me don't you have some clout in sorting out Aramex? Its a really crappy service for senders and buyers being given the wrong info and the wrong expectations

The tracking number will be valid when it gets it's 1st scan, that just shows it is not scanned yet,
This is standard screen on tracking page after being booked, This one book about an hour ago,
