How to extend a classified before it closes..??
Don't seem to be able to change the expiry date of my classified 'motorhome for sale'
tried to do it through the edit option but that field can't be changed
any tips??

That doesn't help at all. Cannot see an 'extend' button on the listing edit. You send an email offering to extend listing and then it can't be done. What's the go!

Agree with both of you ours runs out today and no way of extending our Classified ad,And you can’t contact anyone at Trademe,For help

To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" once you've selected the Contact us Chat Tab you need to give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
The manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmHave your Listing number(s) entered in your Chat window so your Listing(s) can be pulled up readily by the Chat staff.All the Best Everyone - Cheers.0 -
I have the same. When I contacted the chat staff they answered as follows: when the listing expired, you should be able to relist this for 14 days. If it does say to pay, disregard that pop up as I have "turned off pricing" on your account so you can relist and let me know after..........Well, looks like that Trade me offers to extend but cannot really be done without staff's help. Trade me, solve that problem!

So bottom line is you have to wait until 9.30 am to talk to an actual person to be able to extend your listing. Is that correct?

I found you cannot extend from a mobile device. If you are sent an email to extend classifed use your laptop or home/office computer and the link works from the email to extend !!

Because of this problem with extending, I now have an expired classified! I am not keen on paying to relist due to this sub par service.

Extending Classified Listings has to be done via the Desktop site - the Apps don't have full Desktop features yet - type www.trademe.co.nz in your device browser - this will take you to the Desktop site.
Under the circumstances TM may help you with fees if you contact them to discuss though this is not a guarantee - Cheers.

the extend listing used to work on my desktop but now I've got Outlook and that feature doesn't work??? Is it cos of new email service? I've repeatedly asked TM by replying to an email previously sent to me and the advice doesn't make sense - they say go to Trade Me.co.nz in my browser?? like thats some screwy advice, bros. This is some kind of BS!! Like people say, theyre too busy making money to bother with complaints! They say once the listing expires you can relist it. But that eliminates all the watchers. Thjey say the watchers will all get a notification but I don't knbow that . Seems to me you lose all the watchers and it takes a long time to get new watchers. WTF!!

Tracey, you are talking about unrelated things here. Outlook or whatever you email system is has nothing whatsoever to do with any ability to relist or extend a listing. Anything to do with editing or extending a classified listing should be done on the website www.trademe.co.nz via your browser eg Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, which you can do from your desktop/laptop computer or your mobile devices browser. If you are meaning you previously used to click on an email link to extend a classified, then you should still be able to do that, if using a browser, not an app, but if you can't do it by going straight to the main Trademe website www.trademe.co.nz, login and do it from there from your items I am selling page or Unsold items page.
It could be that you are working from a mobile device and that your outlook email is set to open the Trademe App, rather the web browser. If this is what is happening, you can change the default opening from your email to open your web browser, which will then take you straight to the main Trademe page. There are lots of variables in your control so google open in browser not app to get guidance for your particular system.
