    John are you trying to create the listing via the Trade Me app I believe you need to use the desktop site not the app.

    You would be best to contact Trade Me directly using their Live Chat option where you will be able to speak live with a staff member and confirm with them why they are requesting you to check and update your details and why the birthday field is not working. You will have to wait until Monday morning when the chat staff are back online. To use the live chat option go to the contact us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page type in talk to a person you will then be connected to a Trade Me staff member that you can chat ...

    Gary-NZStocked same for me my date of birth is not shown on my profile account page using the old desktop site the new look Trade Me site or the IOS app I believe it is only required when you set up your account for the first time as it is part the personal information required when setting up your account. I guess your date of birth is one thing that will never change so why would you need to change it unless it has been entered incorrectly when you setup your account.

    Hi peter if you are wanting to correct the date of birth Trade Me has for your account membership I believe you need to contact Trade Me directly and they will change it for you it can't be changed by yourself you can change information such as your email address, password and phone numbers but not your date of birth I guess because your date of birth never changes so should not need to be updated unless it is incorrect.     Hi Karen I would use the community watch option at the bottom of the listing page to report the seller to Trade Me https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007264611-Reporting-listings You can also use the Live Chat option to speak with a Trade Me staff member live if you prefer.

    Some of the recent upgrades Trade Me have done have made the site so much harder to use with so many options missing or not working correctly for some members it's very frustrating. I would recommend trying My Products the Trade Me free listing tool thankfully it has not been affected by the site upgrades and works really well it has a lot of other features that listing normally doesn’t. The great thing about My Products is you can import your current, sold or unsold listings into My Products and once imported editing anything on your listing is done on the one page and everything works as ...

    Hi Max if I was you I would use the live chat option to chat live with someone from the Trade Me Customer Experience Team just go to the Contact Us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page then type in talk to a person and you will be connected to someone that you can then chat with live.     Hi June if you are using the new look Trade Me you will need to select the edit option top right side of page and then you can select the listing you want to delete and the option to add note, quick relist or delete will be visible like in the screenshots below.
