Tracking details indicate delivery but buyer says they have not received goods
Despite courier tracking info showing delivery was made (including photos of both my package and the delivery address, and a signature which was actually not required), the buyer says they have not received the package! I have checked the address photo against google maps and the address given by the buyer gives a matching photo of the front of the delivery address. What steps should I follow? I feel I have done everything right and this isn't my fault. Refund????!!!!

I would not offer refund as photo is proof of delivery. You won't be able to claim from the courier with this proof. You can still work through some things tho. Does the photo (has the buyer seen it?) indicate clearly where it was left? letterbox or elsewhere? This happened to me a couple of times and I got the party to check around the area again, and, to ask if anyone in the house had bought the parcel in. Both my parcels were found. One was sitting on the doorstep half an hour later! The other had been picked up by a family member.

I've asked for the buyer to do exactly that. Also been in touch with courier to try to get them to ask driver to recount exactly what happened. A signature was given.......by whom??????? Have sent a copy to buyer.
Many thanks for your advice!

You're right, it's not your fault and you don't have to refund. If you have explained the situation to the buyer and they are still not happy, just ask them to lodge a dispute with Trade Me, Trade Me has a professional dispute team to handle this. There are very professional in handling disputes. After buyer lodged the dispute, you can then explain the situation to Trade Me, saves you a lot of trouble toing and froing with the buyer.

I have had a buyer say not received etc, Tracking says delivered, photo proof it was delivered,
they came back later said found in garden?,
must have been a very very blusterly/tonado/tropical storm day for it to be blown from sheltered door in to a garden??, a large parcel?, hmm !,
I guess they did have it all the time, and were just trying it on for a refund, but as delivered with photo proof, sorry no refund,
There is always the possibly been taken by porch pirates, which is not sellers fault, if they do not provide delivery instructions of a safe place to leave,

yes I had one that had been picked up by a family member and they decided they were going to keep it,so didn't front up and say they had .But the house has security cameras so they were caught in the act.I hope they got a jolly good ruckup for lying

Hi Milloy. Have you contacted the seller or the courier? They or you can usually start an enquiry with the courier to sometimes get more detail as to where the parcel was left, although I have come across a few instances when the tracking says delivered, but the courier hasn't actually delivered it yet and then it turns up the next day.

Yes it's amazing how many I have had over the years who say their parcel hasn't arrived and once they realise I don't refund or replace without further investigation (lodging a missing post query) the parcel mysteriously turns up. I've had a couple who found it 'tucked' at the back of the letterbox, one said the neighbour had just turned up with it as they'd seen it sticking out of the letterbox a few days earlier. Family member had brought it in and not informed them. Sorry but I'm quite cynical now. I have another telling me they haven't got their parcel which tracking shows was delivered two days after purchase. I sometimes edit my feedback on them to say that I'm glad the item was found just so it may prevent them trying it on as a regular scam.
