Can casual Sellers use custom shipping options?
AnsweredI'm a casual seller returning to Trade me after a break. On monday i created a new General Listing and entered my own shipping options as i've done in the past.
Today when I go to that first listing and select 'Sell Similar' to add some more, I only seem to be given standard limited options for shipping - I cant create my own as i've done in the past.
If I try to start a new listing from scratch I get the same result.
ANyone else having a similar problem? i can still see some of my favourite sellers strating new listings with their own customised shipping options, but most of these are 'In Trade' (I'm not).
Anyone else having this problem - and/or know a work-around???

Your favourites coming through from In-Trade Sellers are likely using a Listing tool with pre-equipped options.

Having exactly the same trouble ... I tried My Products but that's just as restrictive - possibly worse!
The obvious solution is to pick the "arrange shipping with seller" option but (a) then you can't use Ping, at least not for postage, and (b) buyers are discouraged if they don't know how much they'll be charged for postage.
Seems like an own goal by Trademe, surely they'd want people to use Ping?
I've also seen some of my favourite sellers using customised shipping options so there must be a way to do it.0 -

Some of us are still using our old custom saved Templates, as never changed over to the new ones for this reason,
as they restricted what we could enter, no free form we still have.
In keeping the old Templates, I had to give up use Multi Quantity listings in my Products which were forcing the new Templates on us to use that, so still have the update to new Template, in my face, which we have to be careful when we edit the templates to update prices, not to click the Blue update Button,
But others came to message boards with the pro's and con's of new templates, which made some of us not to go there,

That explains why some of my favourite sellers still have the old shipping options ... I guess it also means it's too late for me if I want the older, more flexible option!1 -

Where is "Tell us what you think" ? I don't see it on this page for example.

Combine shipping is not on the Create Product page in My Products. How are you expected to offer combined postage on several listings? This has been thrust on us with virtually no support.

Looks like shipping options have returned for casual sellers!
Combined purchases is back, and because I can set shipping options again I won't have to get buyers to pay for the item by Ping, then ask them to pay separately for postage by internet banking. A win for commonsense. I hope it lasts!0 -

Hi Keripete. This must be just for you. I don't have any option to add combined with the new 'streamlined' change to shipping. ?

Hiya L, I didn't have the 'combined' option with the new shipping options, but my old options (including combined post) returned when I used the "sell similar" button on an old listing yesterday. I'd been trying that for days and it hadn't worked before. It's all very odd.

Hi Keripete, thanks for your reply. I managed to do a sell similar off one older auction and got the old templates. Then they slowly changed over and now all I get is the new shipping thing. Sigh! As you say it is all over the place.

Hi L, you're right, alas. I got my old shipping options back for all of two days. Now the "structured" (translation = very limited) shipping options have returned. I spoke too soon!
