Demanding buyers since PING enabled
Just a general query. I have recently enabled PING (no other choice!) having only ever accepted bank transfers in the past 20 years. After an item was bought detailed payment instructions were sent that outlined the pickup process, when that was to happen. That was the good old days. Since accepting PING payments, I have found the buyers to be rather "demanding" and "impatient", saying THEY WILL PICKUP at so and so time, often the NEXT day. One recent buyer sent 3 emails over a period of the day OF THE sale, demanding to pickup ASAP!! Obviously they have not read the payment instructions, as having paid with PING probably believe they do not need to. With life and other commitments, I still generally process sales within 48hrs after payment has been received, and leave items out for pickup at their convenience. The question is: have other sellers found the attitude of PING payers different to those who paid in the old ways of cash and bank transfers.

No I havent. There's always one that causes issues like you've described, maybe you've just struck them all in one go. Fingers crossed they improve.
If I note people haven't read the instructions or auction details, I just gently refer them back to it

Same as AJ over here. Haven't noticed anything specifically.
There is perhaps a general creep towards some buyers expecting instant or same day pick-ups. Doesn't matter if it's by Ping or cash on pick-up. I think this might be to do with Facebook. Messaging is often faster using the on-board messaging over there. Buyers who use both marketplaces maybe expect both systems should work the same.
I wish all buyers were that fast though. It's the ones that buy something then tell you they will come and get it next time they are in the area that get me. When "next time in the area" could be weeks away.

I've never found people paying by ping to be more difficult. Quite the opposite actually. The buyers I've had pay by ping recently were really polite and nice to communicate with.
You can tick cash for pick up options if you wish. That is still accepted.

What we are finding is that they don’t read or simply don’t receive the automatic instructions, which we then have to copy and paste into an email. Ping has also led to more dawdling when it comes to picking up.
