Seller is pressuring us to change our negative feedback
We purchased a lamp which stated "can be rotated 360, the bracket can be adjusted by 180."
Once received and set up we found it could only be set at certain angles otherwise it would fall over due the the base not being big enough or heavy enough.
After complaining they sent us videos about what angles the lamp could be used in.
We decided to keep the lamp, as we found a work around, and posted a negative feedback due to the misleading listing description.
Now they keep emailing us trying to make us take a refund in exchange for changing the negative feedback.
I've told them three times we're happy to leave things as they are, but they don't seem to listen.
This most recently email gave us instructions as to how we can change the feedback.
This can't be right; pressuring buyers to change their feedbacks.

In some ways I feel for the seller here Amy.
Obviously it will depend on what exactly has been said by whom. But it sounds like they have communicated with you and given instructions - and even provided a video? - of how to fix the problem. They also had an offer of a full refund on the table. You decided not to take that.
Perhaps consider flipping it around and you being the seller. If you sold an item that turned out to have an error in the description. Would you be happy to get a negative feedback even if you tried everything in your power to sort it out with the buyer?
If nothing else perhaps you should consider changing to neutral. You said yourself that you have found a workaround and are happy to leave it at that.

The video and info did not resolve the issue.
It just showed and explained that the lamp would remain upright If used at certain angles.
They also did not initially offer me a refund.
After posting the review they resent the same video and info until they later finally admitted that we were correct and the listing was unclear.1 -
We Did put a neutral feedback on the Other faulty item we bought off them, which they Also told us we were using it incorrectly (despite the three videos we sent and despite the information provided in the listing), until finally admitting we were right and offering us a refund.
Considering the overall way we've been treated both times I think 1 negative feedback is pretty warranted.2 -
Just block/filter their email address and forget about it.
If they had apologised and offered a refund straight up and changed their listing description appropriate for future buyers, then it would be different, but they clearly tried to pass it off as not a problem and only have decided to refund after you red faced them.

flossy63 Community SuperuserThe seller has only offered the refund to get them to change or remove their feedback, Which is a form of blackmail, and is not on, that is a bullying tactic from seller,
Buyer in this case under the circumstances, is right in not accepting the refund, as seller is trying to buy them off for feedback removal,I have this in past on my personal account, I too have refused refunds as it is an after fact, just to buy you off to removed feedback, when they should have offered a refund right at the start, but would not, but is only forthcoming after they get bad feedback,On principle I refuse to take money well after the trade to just to remove their feedback, I will not be brought off, which leaves the question how many times have they done it to others to get deserved feedback removed?, then when it is removed they turn around and give buyers bad feedback, we have all heard those stories on the old message boards,Stand your ground keep all communication/E-mails and forward to Trade Me, another reason to only communicate via E-Mailso you have a paper trail, I will never ring or Text,1 -
Thanks guys.
Appreciate the support.1
