Parcelport (now "Zappy") announced they got an 8% increase to NZ Post domestic rates July 1, with all the Freightways brands going up as well by 4.5%, 15% local zones.
Yep with me they are asked to provide a different address, pay the difference, or cancel. No response in a week I cancel. I don't chase them, and I don't enter into debate, if they reply trying to argue then the order gets cancelled - happens about once a year.
The way I decided to handle it is... to just lie, to NZ Post. I send them (or rather the shipping aggregator) a PDF of the invoice which omits the GST but which just so happens to be the same as the GST inclusive amount. And when I record it my end, I do so as a normal GST invoice. It's not like they know what Widget X cost me anyway other than what I tell them it cost me.
I did eventually lose Top Seller but somehow managed to scrape back in last week. With Aliexpress and Temu getting products to your door in 7-10 days generally now it makes it really hard to compete, you can offer the best service around, but when the cusomer can get it at less cost and just that 5-8 days longer wait... yeah, I think they are happy to wait for the not-so-slow-boat-from-china.
Go the to the feedback page of the seller, locate the feedback you left, and there is an "edit this feedback" link. You can only edit a feedback once, if you have already edited it before, then you can only delete it.
Check in your spam/junk carefully. If you can't find anything there, you will need to contact Trade Me using the online chat. NB: I believe they have tightened up thier verification processes, they may ask for ID, and your bank account will need to match your Trade Me name. Again, if they do need any of this, they will have emailed you about it.
Yes the thought has struck me also, sometimes the category snapped to is so ridiculously wrong and only one seller has their items in there, that I wonder if it really was a mistake or if they have actually figured out "the algorithm". I usually find it is chinese sellers.
As we all (I hope) know, the Trade Me search is... very bad. In particular the "helpful" automatic category limiter ("snapping") and that the very short and limited title is searched by default (yes, you can quote to search the description, but general users don't know that). It is so bad that the difference between searching for a singular, and a plural of a word can produce wildly different results (ring terminal and ring terminals are just one example). So, how are sellers dealing with this? I've started slowly going through every single one of my products and for each one trying to thi...
You can only put listings into "leaf" categories (the categories at the very end of the chain), in your case you would need to put the lising into Building & renovation > Bathroom > Baths > Baths Yes there are two "Baths" categories, one inside the other, you must use the deepest one, that is the "leaf" (just like trees have a leaf on the end of a branch).
I wish it was only the 2nd half of February. My sales have been dismal for a few months now.
