Glitch In Book a Courier. NZ Post wont help
I attempted to book a courier yesterday to collect an item I am sending (item to be sent to a family member). I have the correct address to use. Attempted to book and got the alert to check post code finder. Did that, came up with exact same post code I was using. Phoned NZ Post for help. Told not their problem and to contact TM. Fat lot of use that is - nowhere I can phone or make any contact with TM staff. Appalling service. Ideas on how to handle this please? Disgusted with this set up

That message re post code, is generic, does no mean there is an issue with the actual post code, other errors you get that message too,
It can actually be the address format, so may need to manually type it in, and let book a courier pick up matches for you to choose from,
it can also be the format you have put measurements in for a parcel. make sure it is cm, not mm, check your $$ balance etc.
If you do a search here there are a few other posts over time,

The generic errors from Courierpost are not very helpful, on here as well as other places. I booked courier late this morning not on BAC, and got the NZPost is not reachable, try again later. I thought that was weird as had booked another 2 mins before and it was ok. I had a good look at the buyers address and they had sent through a small novel of 92 chars in the delivery instructions, that was not anything to do with delivery instructions. I removed that and all good.
Best idea if any error is given is to clear everything the buyer has sent and re-enter everything manually, choosing address from the dropdown results when you start typing it. Not always foolproof, but often fixes things.

Yup, just cursing Trademe when trying to book two parcels in this evening. Tried with NZPost... tried with Aramex... tried entering manually. Ended up getting NZ Post to send one - but charged me $4 extra - hopeless.

I am having the same issue over the last 2 days trying to book 2 parcels to send. Even when Trademe's postal system automatically finishes the address for you, it says the address is incorrect! So the address that Trademe auto filled for the parcel is not being recognised by Trademe itself AFTER the fact! The first parcel booking seemed to work when i used my computer instead of my phone but here i am at my computer booking the second one and it wont work.

Going back to my original post, Item was going to a Whangarei RD address. The message that came up when attempting to book was "either sender or addresses information is incorrect". I sure know my own address, the addressee (a cousin), knows his address and told me he gets mail all the time and what he gave me is correct. I am suspecting the mail he gets all the time is normal NZ Post mail, not Book a Courier mail. The person I spoke with at NZ Post was not helpful, stood their ground and said problem.lies with Trademe who also denied there was a problem. I eventually got my parcel to Whangarei, delivered by a person who happened to he going up there and was happy to take it for me.
Moving on a couple of months, I had occasion to send an envelope to my cousin (last item was a parcel). Thought this might be different... no, same runaround. I phoned NZ Post and spoke with an extremely helpful and knowledgable person who tried absolutely everything. Agreed there was nothing wrong with the address and said the problem lies with the TM website. At this point I gave up, got her to locate and advise the closest post office to me. I made a special trip in there, posted it and paid the higher fees (Book a Courier via TM is discounted). It has now been received by addressee. Still disgusted with TM who wont get off their backsides to fix their OWN problem. NZ Post have assured me that is where the problem lies.0 -

Kia ora Carol, I've emailed you to see if we can troubleshoot this 🙂

Late last night, I figured out that when you start typing the address, a link pops up underneath saying 'can find the address?' (or something like that) click on it and you then type the address in manually. Well, that worked! Same address! I was able to book the parcel. I don't understand this other than a possible Trademe glitch with some addresses?

Kia ora Vicky, great to hear to managed to get the courier booked. The address needs to be really precise, so sometimes manually entering it will do the trick. For example with rural delivery addresses it has to be "RD 2" not "RD2", or whether a comma is in the right place. Different courier companies also have differing definition of where their rural zones are.
If you do run into difficulty like Carol has, we can always have a look.
