Worried about trade won
Hi,
I purchased an item last week but have not officially heard from the seller. I noticed a tracking number on my side, so decided to follow it. Apparently this item is going back and forth within China, yet no where on the listing did it state it was coming from there and the seller is supposedly in Auckland. Now I see they have a negative feedback status, where someone actually received theirs but it did not work.
All this is raising big red flags for me and I wish I had followed my gut and not purchased from a non feedback seller (just thought I would give a newbie the encouragement).

does it say anywhere on the auction that its being shipped from China or the shipping options a couple of weeks and not days?

No it doesn't state that and the estimated shipping time is blank

Hi Kris. I would open a Dispute for this trade. If the seller has other items for sale it would be worth reporting those through to Trade Me as well. Sellers are not allowed to drop ship unless they have written permission from Trade Me to do so. Unfortunately no easy way to tell if they have permission. But part of the terms of being a drop-shipper is that the seller must clearly state the item is coming from overseas and give target delivery timeframes.

Hi, yes i started to do that but it woukd let me submit without photos of the item

Hi Kris did you use Ping to purchase your item as you will be covered if the item does not turn up. If you are concerned about the seller you could try using the live chat option to chat live with someone from Trade Me just go to the Contact Us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page and type in talk to a person you will then be connected to a Trade Me staff member that you can then chat with live. They will be able to look into the seller in more detail and hopefully speed up the process for you.
The live chat is only available during business hours which are Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm Sat-Sun 9:30am to 4pm.

Kia Ora Kris,
Listings become eligible for Disputes to be filed after an initial 3 days since purchase - this is when photo's become available to select. - Cheers.

Trade Me staff - Community team
Kia ora Kris, Callum is right here, we don't let sellers dropship without permission. You can report the seller through Community watch if they are doing something they shouldn't be, like unauthorised dropshipping, so the team can look into it.

Thank you all.
I cannot report through community watch as they have pulled all their other listings.
I did get an email from them simply saying the warehouse is in China. The point was, they didn't advertise this fact.
