  • Buy Now is a useful option to add to your auction – it allows a buyer to skip the bidding process and buy the item right away, if they’re happy with the price you’ve set. If bidding starts on your auction where you have a Buy Now price, the ability to use Buy Now will no longer be available once the reserve has been met. This means no one can swoop in and use the Buy Now while a bunch of keen buyers are bidding. If people are already bidding on your auction it may even sell for more than your Buy Now price.

  • When you list using My Products, you will be able to schedule an endtime on your auctions at no charge – the fee ordinarily charged for scheduling an end time is $0.25. This means you can start your listings at any time of day with a pre–set end time of your own choosing, at no additional cost.

  • Every now and then, the delivery address for your recipient might not let you confirm a pick up when using ‘Book a courier’. If you’ve checked the details with the buyer, or used the address finder, and are still having issues, you can enter the address manually. To do this, select ‘Can’t find your address?’ when you enter the address finder box. You can then put in the details yourself – sometimes leaving ‘Suburb’ empty sorts any formatting issues.

  • When you’ve sold something and the buyer has paid you via Ping, you can either keep the money there or transfer it out to your bank account. To sort that transfer, add your bank account details (which will then save) and select ‘Transfer out’ from ‘Manage Ping.’ The money will be in your bank account within 1–2 business days. You can also enable automatic transfers each time you are paid into your Ping account, or to do it manually.

  • When you’ve sold your item, be sure to pass on your payment details to the buyer if need be. With Ping, they can pay you instantly but if you’re using bank transfer you will need to pass on your account information to them. You can set up Payment Instructions on your account to automatically be sent to your buyers, or you can email them individually. If you’re waiting on them, remember to check your Junk and Spam folders on your email.

  • It’s so exciting when you’ve been the winning bidder on an item you’ve been after, so we understand it can be disappointing when you don’t hear from the seller as quickly as you’d like. Always remember to check your Junk or Spam folder in case any messages have been filtered out of your inbox. Still no contact? Let us know.

  • If you start creating a listing but then decide you’d rather finish it up later, you can do that no problem! Head back to ‘Start a listing’ and you’ll have the option to continue drafting or to start again.

  • A great way to be notified about listings you might be keen on is to save a Favourite. You can do this for particular categories, sellers or searches that you want to know about. You can also set how frequently you’d like us to contact you about those – daily, weekly, or fortnightly.

  • If you’re having an issue getting signed into your account, take a moment to check you’re using the right email address and that there are no typos in the address or password – remember passwords are case sensitive so check your caps lock too. If you need to change your password, pop in your email address and select ‘Forgot password’, we email you a link to get that sorted right away. Remember to check your Junk or Spam folder as well.
