Retaliation Negative Feedback
AnsweredHow do I dispute retaliation red feedback? We stated on the auction ' payment by bank deposit '. She insisted on cash on Sunday pickup and we said bank deposit only and she should have asked about that before she purchased. We can leave the item at the door for her friend to pickup which has worked fine for 15+ years but the payment must be banked. She said unless she can pay cash on pickup the deal is off. After failed communications we ended up giving her negative feedback and she immediately retaliated It sounds like she has trust issues.

If you pop feedback dispute in the search box up top, it takes you to the help page that explains what to do.

Don't forget to take screenshots of all the correspondence between you and the other party. Trade Me won't look into disputes without it.

I wouldn't have bothered "poking the bear" and giving her a red face in the first place. Sometimes its just easier to let them go, refund success fee, chuck them into the blacklist, relist and move on - simply because it's a hassle getting an unfair FB removed.
The moment she said cash or no deal, then that should have been the end - "Sorry cant help you, bank deposit only just like the auction said - we will just go ahead and relist, no harm done :-) "
Personally I prefer cash anyway, especially when selling second goods, as it allows "inspection before payment." Which is probably what she wanted.
