Feedback that states "I will alter this after ..... ..
AnsweredI have a few of this type of feedback where the buyer has placed negative feedback and states IN the feedback that they will change/ remove the feedback after they get the item/ refund etc.
I have asked TM via feedback disputes previously, to remove those feedback for me/ them, because the buyer is uncommunicative (therefore not removing/ altering the feedback as promised) and TM refuses.
I have supplied screen shots of the promise's / emails accordingly/ bank statements and courier links as needed but TM still refuses to act.
Whats next that needs to be done to get action.

Hi David. Yes, unfortunately Trade Me have taken a step back from removing negative feedback in these cases. I have a few the same. Now they only remove negative feedback if it very strictly and clearly breaches the feedback policy.
I had a buyer who has never emailed me, but left negative feedback. I provided them with a full refund, and no obligation to return the item. I tried to get the feedback removed. The Trade Me response was "Sorry, the buyer might just not want to communicate about this trade"
It's a tough pill to swallow, but there doesn't seem to be anything further you can do I'm afraid. In my case I left the buyer a negative feedback as well explaining what happened and mentioning lack of communication. To add insult potentially they could themselves get that removed if they approached Trade Me and said my feedback was retaliation.
What you might be able to do is get a removal under the "....must be factual....." part of the policy. If the feedback you got says something that isn't factual like "didn't refund me" or "didn't contact me" then you can prove it is untrue and should be removed.

I have had it worse then that.
Buyer places grumpy negative but with a promise of change/ remove when sorted.
I place a passive neutral and the buyer gets it removed.
Tm typically responds with something like ..... Sorry but we can't remove the feedback in this case as it doesn't go against our community standards, the buyer is just expressing their opinion.
And no comment about the buyer getting my passive neutral feedback removed0 -
Yea that "Non communicative" buyer thing also backfires for sellers when TM ask for proof the item was delivered, so you supply the courier weblink and they won't accept it because theres no personal confirmation from the buyer that they did receive it
BUT, the buyer won't reply to emails0 -
Got another one of those promises to remove bad feedback (in the feedback) and this one states they can't find how to delete it.
Theres a few of those as well (some are in the feedback / some in email promises)0 -

Hi S.
Yea never a problem for me but it's another indication of how screwed up TM has become.
Stats for a few various websites that I either own or help out with all show about 80% of users are on cell phones.
Will pass that information onwards but it's probably not of any use when so many people ONLY have a cell phone0 -

Cheers David,
Cell phone users can enter the Desktop site by going through to TradeMe from their phone/device browser & selecting Desktop at the bottom of the New Look page to get to the Classic (Old) Desktop site. - I do hear you - it is a long winded way round to a function which should be available on the New Look TradeMe site & the Apps - I believe it's on the Tuit list too 😊
