Yea enjoy it while you can. TM are actively removing all links to the old website over the next couple of months
HI Michelle, why can we not search auction with "P" numbers. Buyers and sellers are advised by Trademe to use the auction "P" numbers in the internet banking reference and email communication, but when you search your sold items (or any category) with "P" number it doesn't come up with the auction. I have to use the listing number to find the auction. This has been a major problem for awhile now, I often have buyers emailing me for combined postage for multiple auctions and they are quote the auction "P" numbers and I cannot find the auctions.
Good that you caught it in time But .... Thats one of the fairly obvious scamsWebsite address and "support" address are the biggest clues
Gary, Yep, the std old webpage search is faster for so many reasons, and thats my point, the old site was a lot faster/ cleaner/ better tools (drop down menus work really well for accuracy and speed) but not as pretty. The old site was also hosted mostly in NZ, Lag is a real problem now with Google servers
Callum, As you know, I do use and advocate for the My Products usage.I haven't used the old basic lister in any form for many years as I see it being a complete waste of space and time for anything. The only reason I can get around the P number search problem apart from having access to the old website (desktop function) is because I have to print all my sales and I can manually search for specific details offline from TM.BUT, Printing takes about 20 more clicks on the "upgraded TM", to achieve the same single printed page that I was getting on the old website AND now don't get the photo pri...
Yep but as you know, the original P number listing details don't always match up to the buyers email address or even their name.Either way, TM NEED to get this sorted a lot faster then previous history. The new site looks pretty, but is costing me at least 4 times more work to do the same exact job.Pretty yes, faster = Yea NAH ...,It's at least 4 more clicks per listing function, multiply that by what ever number of functions you need to do per listing.A great example is the two listing systemsStd listing system verses My Products = 7 page clicks verses One page
WHEN ...Is the P number search system going to be integrated in to the New TM format. This situation is only made worse now because TM is enforcing the new website on me everytime I open Tm on my computer. This means that I have to Restart the whole process by going to the bottom of the page, "Click Desktop" and re-click the old website links to get an OLD page so the P Number search works.WHY ... can't this be fixed? It's a real pain because all TM bank deposits bear the P Number, (At TM's insistence via payment instructions), making it time consuming when checking/ cross referencing who ha...
Yep, this old issue is STILL HERE.Most of TM is on compulsory address at purchase time, Except Auction listings.TM claims it's because of people placing a bid this week on an auction but moving location later in the week as they travel around NZ and need to constantly change a delivery address. It's a real pain because I have to go back in to emails to find IF they sent the address and then write it manually on a printout or email them to get an address etc etc
Paul,This happens in all web communication systems and generally all media systems from time to time.Trademe is not alone in this problem.Sale /repairs/ auctions/ and a lot of other business's, even those that don't deal with the public at all, get this happening.99% of the time, it is the user being distracted for whatever reason and not seeing the clues.Eg: Seems too good for the price/ serviceGrammer/ sentance construction. spelling if wrong ;-)Pushy tacticsCountdown for end of sale countersSuper flash websitesCrazy cheapOdd email addressMissing or dead links to important information100%...
