Book a courier won’t accept the P.O. Box I was given to post to.
AnsweredTrying to book a courier. Won’t accept a P.O. Box number
i thought I could opt for nz post if I put in a P.O. Box number but it won’t let me get past the address page.

Janine, have you tried the manual entry process to bypass the auto complete. I use this for PO boxes.
How to: Enter an address manually when using Book a Courier – Help - Trade Me

Hi Gary yes I have tried that but it still says
No quotes are available for these addresses. Please make sure both the pick-up and delivery addresses are correct and try again.

Anyone noticed a new addition to the help pages for book a courier. Says PO Boxes cannot be used for pick up or delivery. I hadn't seen that there until about a week ago? (but I haven't looked at it for a while either. ha)

Don't know when they changed it, but I think they got that wrong. No probs here with a booking to PO Box today.

Apparently P.O. Box number is correct so who knows. Thanks for your help anyway Gary. Much appreciated. Will take it to the post office to post I guess.

Check the address on the NZ Post website - it may be the postcode?

Hi does t recognize the P.O. Box number in that post code or town but the buyer says correct. I’ll just send it via the shop.

Just bear in mind that if you are 'in trade' it is your responsibility to ensure that the buyer receives goods, and if you have sent to an incorrect PO Box, in the event of non-delivery - NZ Post won't want to know about it.

I'm sure what Janine is doing is correct.I had exactly the same issue with an adress with a PO Box number.Everything was correct according to the NZ website. It was the correct post code, the 5 digit po number was also accepted by the NZ Post website but as soon as I tried to "book a courier" it rejected it.I tried other ways to get it accepted but failed.I have sent hundreds of parcels by "book a courier" with no issues till that PO Box adress. All my other bookings before & after to a PO Box number have been successful.I had to go to my local NZ Postshop to send it.

I have had the same issues with PO Box Addresses, websites say correct, but just cannot book it via Book a Courier,
So just use my old red post bags/Orange stickers with added tracking & book a courier pick up online,
at least I can still say your parcel was couriered today, and always notify my customers it will be coming by NZ post as could not book the PO Box online,
They all arrive at the intended address, I always cringe now when I get a PO Address is it going to work or not,
it is really a hit and miss Lol!,

Try P.O Box not po box . Try playing around u should be able to finally . i had 2 bookings with PO box and it went thru .

That does not always work, often makes no difference,
Often P.O.Boxes will not be accepted at all even when they match the NZ Post site,
you can even copy and paste straight from NZ Post and nope it's a no go, so just send via NZ Post Bag etc,
still gets picked up by same courier,
it is a hit and miss with P.O. Boxes,

Carol is correct. Forcing the system to accept the address won't work if they don't deliver to po boxes as the help pages now say.
I had one some time ago for delivery to a PO Box via TM book a courier and nzpost refused to accept it at the other end (and it wasn't aramex). They said it would only be accepted "on delivery' if booked by sender at the nzpost counter. Very frustrating as the buyer had insisted they had done this in the past. But not any more..They were advised by nzpost to use the right channel to send it and the buyer was charged a second delivery fee by the courier to get their parcel. Very annoying to sort out. Will never use TM book a courier for PO Box again.
But that was when help pages didn't have no delivery to PO Boxes. Aaarrrghh!

Lol!, I had to send a PO box parcel via NZ post this morning as Book a courier would not accept it. but correct on NZ Post site,
actually I am quite enjoying the hiccups with PO Boxes, so can rid my self of old labels and Red bags, and can still book a Courier to pick up if tracked, There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I usually look up the address on Google maps and check the post code there. Often post codes do not get updated regularly and/or a post code boundary has been added or modified, or sometimes people change their address but don't change their postcode, or they have the postcode for their physical address which may or may not be the same as their PO Box. Sometimes all sources other than my brain are incorrect and I know what the actual post code is so I can make the booking. NZ Post used to have region maps showing postcode boundaries, but they have removed these now. Most of the pdf maps though are still available on webarchive, but there may be changes.

3542 was our PO Box postcode in Whitianga when we had one and we lived 500m away in postcode 3510, but maybe your buyer has simply transposed numbers as 3584 is valid for Waikawau
