Aramex is saying an address is rural when it isn't......
Listed small item and used calculate rates, which gave me $4.07 via Aramex non rural. Sold today and Aramex says it's rural and wants $11.09. I have checked NZ Post and Pass the Parcel and both say it is urban. I won't be using Aramex now but will have to pay out of pocket using another courier because of their mistake. Not impressed Aramex!

Use this link below and check addresses
https://www.addresscheck.co.nz/
All Couriers have different Zones, so obviously the address you are trying to use is outside the Aramex Delivery Zone, so therefore it becomes Rural as they have to hand it over to NZ Post to deliver, hence the rural charge,
Some NZ Post addresses are also Rural, but not Rural for Aramex, so it works both ways,

Yes, because Aramex do not deliver to that area, it is outside their delivery Zone,
So therefore it becomes rural as they have to pay NZ Post to deliver it for them,
hence the Rural fee is to pay NZ post to deliver on there behalf,
and with other companies same issues, Like NZ Post some addresses they do not deliver too,
so they become rural addresses, as urban with Aramex, so they have to Pay Aramex to deliver them,

You may want to try Pass the Parcel Lachelle as that address is not rural for them. $5.60 to that address from Auckland for up to an A4 size bag if you use your own packaging.

I am having this very same problem except the address is showing up non rural in www.addresscheck.co.nz and is definitely in Aramex usual zone having sent to this area many times. Does anyone know do I contact trade me or Aramex when I am trying to book via trade me site? I don't expect I'll be able to get ahold of anyone in a Sunday either way which is frustrating. I'm going to check in an hour or so and see if it has righted itself as it can be a bit glitchy.

Have you tried to manually enter the address in on the book a Courier?,
as sometimes there is something in address, that brings up strange results,
I had a rural address last night, but gave me quotes for Rural and Urban,
I manually typed address in, without suburbs and post codes and got just Rural quotes,

Thanks for the idea but yes I did try this as well with the same result. I find if it's the incorrect postcode or doesn't match what's the correct details for the address it might show as rural price or just one courier as an option instead of both Aramex and NZ post. I tried re-entering all the details both via the app via trade me site and using book a courier all with the same result :( it's in Devonport north shore/Auckland and definitely is in Aramex usual route of service. As indicated in the address check so I'm at a loose end of what to do. I guess if still like that later tonight I'll just have to pay the difference and book with NZ post.
