Is it still possible to have 2 Intrade accounts?
AnsweredEvening all,
Just a question as cannot find the answer, or I am blind,
Is it still possible to have 2 Intrade accounts?
I remember years ago on the old Trade Me boards, someone saying they had 2 in trade accounts, which sold different things, and this was possible,
is this still the case?,
As I have been asked today if I will sell some more things on behalf for a charity, GVR,
and was thinking they really need their own account,
I can do the selling for them, no problem, but as on Monday I will be back to my full listing allowance as almost there now, on this account,
as I start physically selling again next week,
(this week have been just running auctions with no Buy Now's as busy doing other things outdoors, out 'n' about etc. while we have beautiful weather?,
and in past Trade Me have made their items charity auctions so no fees,
Anyone have any current info on this?, or a link to any information?,
or I will just have to contact them tomorrow, to see if possible, and run it past the GM too since it was he who asked, for a name for a new account if we are able to get one.
otherwise will have to drop some of my own auctions to stay under allowance,

You would need to run it past trade me. I know of one person that has 3 or 4 with trademe's ok.

flossy63 Community SuperuserThanks Gary, although this account has good feedback at 100% which gives buyers confidence items will be as described and I am a trust worthy seller,I really think a different account maybe worth it in the long run, as they are officially a charity organization, with a charity number,Yes, it is one of those hard basket things tonight ?? Lol!,0

Just ask trade me and it should all be fine. If it is a registered charity they can get a rebate on fees too.

In the past TM has indicated you can have more than 1 intrade account as long as the product lines are essentially different and TM give the nod to it. So you could have one business selling mobile phones on one account and gardening equipment on another, but not both selling mobile phones. I guess the situation is completely different though if one person has 2 or more separate companies selling on TM. Of course they would need different accounts as they are essentially different entities legally so would also have different bank accounts and different GST numbers. In this situation it is logical (and probably legally required) to have a different account for each company, even if you are running 10 companies.

Kia Ora flossy63.
Gary & Donal are right onto it for you.
The significant factor if you Or GVR are approved for More than 1 'In Trade' Membership account, Only 1 person may use each TM account. It looks to me that GVR may be well off creating their own Business Membership account under the Charity if they are a Registered Charity as the Rebate of 50% success fees is worthwhile here.
Here's a couple of Links for you which take you to the forms you will want to apply on as a Charity under that Link - Cheers.
