The email the buyer receives says..."Congratulations on your Shopping Cart purchase. Your payment was accepted and the seller(s) have been instructed to ship the goods."
and at the bottom of the email
"If you haven't received the goods within seven days, please let us know. If you have any problem with the goods, please contact the seller(s) directly using the reference number above." The sellers email says "Please ensure that the amount paid is correct and that the goods are shipped to the delivery address below. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are delivered within seven days."

That depends on what you base your argument on, in the "Code of conduct" page:
https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360007265051-Code-of-conduct
Sellers agree to:
<snipped>
Ensure items are shipped as soon as possible, and within a week of receiving payment and delivery address, unless otherwise indicated in the listing or agreed by both parties.<snipped>
But in the purchase complete email a seller receives and I quote:
It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are delivered within seven days.
But technically, this email is not something a buyer can see, so IMHO it's better to base on the "Code of conduct" page that's opened to all. Therefore, it's probably still acceptable for them to post on Wednesday. But you are well within your rights to open a dispute with Trade Me, they have a professional dispute team to help you.

As in clause 10.1.
- A seller using Ping must ship items as quickly as reasonably possible (and in any case no later than within three working days of notification of payment).

I love the bit about the sellers responsibility to ensure gods are delivered in 7 days. While a seller can order the courier the moment goods are paid for, a/ when the courier actually picks up the goods is out of the sellers control, and b/ How long the courier actually takes to deliver is also totally out of their control. When 7 days is a good guide for goods to be recieved in, in most cases the seller has zero power to enforce it or control it

Donal, precisely, I don't understand why Trade Me wants seller to select a delivery "estimates" in the new shipping templates, just doesn't make sense, sellers have no control over when a parcel gets picked up and gets delivered, how are they supposed to provide that "estimates"...haha

Arthur, yes that would lead to just bad rap going on between seller and buyer when it does not meet the estimate. I have not seen the templates but are they associated to each shipping option? Ie I can send a parcel local urban and it can be there first thing next morning, but I can send a parcel to rural southland and its often 5-6 days. So are we meant to put estimates for each shipping option which could be more accurate, but a heap of work, or put an estimate to cover all locations which would be hugely inaccurate

Donal, we do get to select an estimate for each option, from a list of estimates provided by Trade Me, we don't get to enter our own estimates.

the seller finally logged the parcel on at 11.30 pm last night(Wednesday) coming from Auckland I can not expect to see it before next week,so anything up to 2 weeks sine I won and paid. This is not acceptable.

yes,I have asked TM to remind the seller of their obligations.I would have been more understanding if they had given me a reason, but just I will be sending it Wednesday.Under the circumstances they will be getting a blue feedback

If sellers send out Automated payment instructions, have shipping on their auction,
You pay & can send a courtesy E-Mail advising you have paid (Optional)
There is no need for seller to communicate with the buyer Via E-Mail,
They do not have to send out a tracking number, If you want it ask for it,
But most of us now use Book a Courier so Buyer is sent an Automatic E-Mail to track their item,
if not Book a courier we enter tracking numbers on sold auction so they appear on buyers won auction as a link to track,
I also place feedback on day item is couriered with info to say link to track will be on their won auction & Automated E-Mail via Trade Me to track your item,
So you placed negative feedback??, that is not on, that is just rude, I presume you got your item in a reasonable time frame?
Did you E-Mail seller at any point and ask for tracking number etc?
If sellers use the tools provided there is absolutely no need for manual E-Mails,
that is the whole point of providing shipping on your auction and sending out automatic payment instructions,
Brayden I see you have now edited your comment, sorry, but there is no reason for seller to communicate with a buyer if they have used the provided tools, as that is why we have them, to cut out personal E-Mails,
only time would to be is advise shipping if not on auction,
You need to get real here, it is more the buyer needs to communicate with the seller, as above out of courtesy advise you have made bank payment, or ask for combined shipping, and send through your address if you bid on an auction or accepted a FPO where address is not automatically sent,
Most of my trades completed, without any communication via E-Mail between buyer and seller,
I have had over 300 sales in the last 2 weeks, no way would I be sending 300 manual E-Mails, You are dreaming,
If I knew who you were you would definitely be on my Blacklist wit attitude like that towards sellers, simple!,

Brayden. I agree that communication is often lacking in many trades, but when sellers have automatic payment instructions set up so Trademe emails them a copy straight after an auction closes, that is the seller's first communication. Unfortunately Trademe doesn't always email the payment instructions as sometimes it's only available via a link in the initial won email (it varies depending on what payment options the seller has and how you win the auction).
I must be one of the older ones, as I email when someone buys to say thank you, along the lines of below, with obvious changes depending on if sending today, tomorrow, Monday after the weekend etc etc.
With copy/paste of instant notes or quicklinks in eM Client like I use, it's a 5 second job to send an email eg
Thanks for buying (members real name here)I'll send tomorrow. You'll receive an email with tracking when I book the courier and it's always available on Trademe in your Items I won folder too. Will place feedback to confirm when order has been collected and on it's way.CheersGaryI have a range of std texts to choose from for consistency and time saving as below.
