No record of courier parcel shipped
AnsweredI dispatched a parcel via Aramex on Dec 16. I was home when the courier picked up the parcel. The parcel has never arrived. I phoned Aramex on January 6 and was told it was in the system and I’d be notified with an update….nothing happened…so I submitted an email enquiry on January 7- they replied today saying they have no scans of my item which means it has not been collected or the tracking number is incorrect…what the heck am I to do?? I’ve sent them a photo of the original booking label, which I booked via TM

What does it show when you track it online yourself?
If you booked it via book a courier, there is a link to the tracking in your items I sold page, plus it's in the email copy Trademe emailed you when you made the booking.

It isn't unknown for a courier not to scan items on pick up. However, tracking usually shows up at the parcel's next stage of the journey. Did you just send one parcel on that day?

I have the TM courier records and sent the one parcel that day. TM says ‘in transit’

The Trade Me record is useless. If your driver doesn't bother to scan on pick up, it's up to you to prove the parcel has indeed been picked up. I have been told to provide security footage before. That's why I have a security camera pointing directly at my gate now. It's still hard to prove a particular parcel is among a bunch of parcels picked up though. The NZ Post driver who picks up my parcels scan them 90% of the time, Aramex is the opposite, they don't scan on pick up 90% of the time.

Hi Rachel. I would suggest you send the courier a screenshot of the tracking page that shows it as being In Transit as that is proof it was collected and that they have it in their system. Better tracking info including times and dates is on the courier tracking page though if you click the tracking number a bit further down the page, which will take you to the couriers own tracking system. That will give them the facts that they can not dispute when you email them again to get it sorted.
