How to: Transfer money out of your Ping account
PinnedWhen you’ve sold something and the buyer has paid you via Ping, you can either keep the money there or transfer it out to your bank account. To sort that transfer, add your bank account details (which will then save) and select ‘Transfer out’ from ‘Manage Ping.’ The money will be in your bank account within 1–2 business days.
You can also enable automatic transfers each time you are paid into your Ping account, or to do it manually.

I followed that but everytime I try to transfer it out to my bank account, it always say "Account is not eligible for ad hoc payments". What does this mean?

Hiya, this will be because your Ping account is already enabled for automatic transfers out to your nominated bank account.
If you'd rather transfer out manually, you can head here to Manage Ping and switch off that option. After you've done that, you'll no longer get that 'ad hoc' message and your Ping funds will stay in there until you hit the 'Transfer out' button.

What if the seller cannot get the funds out of ping and trade me hasn't contacted him as they said they would ( in an automated response) leaving the buyer without $800 and without an oven? How can this be resolved quickly when trade me is automated and I am yet to see a live chat icon? I understand the seller may be technologically challenged but without assistance from a human this may never be resolved. I guess the commerce commission could help?

I'm new to trade me and the first time i tried to withdraw to my bank on the 26th Feb I accidently mistyped the suffix, so the trust and safety team contacted me as I was contacting TM about it and sent thru ID and correct bank number, and was assured it will be in my bank in 1-2 days...
Today I checked TM after payment not showing in bank, and nothing has changed! No updated withdrawal request or updated bank number and my money's still in cyper space somewhere.
I know everything is ok because I've since successfully withdrawn since this incident and got it within 24hrs.
Does anyone have any tips or could help me please, I really don't want to wait another week. I was relying on that money for something important

Hi all, I have withdrawn my PING funds today and it is showing 1 cent that has been sent to my account??? Is this normal? So after the 1 or 2 Business Days the FULL amount arrives right?

Ryan, along with the 1c deposit will be a verification code that you need to enter on your Ping verification page. This confirms you have the correct bank acc to Trademe and then they can do the rest of the transfer. This verification happens just once.

G'day, I'm a seller from Australia. I have my money in Ping balance, how do I withdraw it to my Australian bank account? I do not have a NZ bank account.

Hi Ian, you'll need a NZ bank account when selling with Ping as there are extra fees involved when it comes to international banking. It’s best to get in touch with Westpac or ANZ (as they bank in both Australia and NZ) to see if they can help you set one up.

Sold items on a Friday evening, as I understand it, my ping balance doesn't transfer until Mon and funds arrive in my bank account Tues or possibly later. Nice business for trademe, holding my money, but is there a faster way

Can we have a process whereby you can transfer only some of your Ping balance out of your Ping account and not the whole amount? Also having an option of transferring some of your Ping balance to your Trade Me account would be good too.

Hi there. Whilst money goes into your Ping account from the buyer instantly, when you transfer out to your account it is down to banking transfer times - we'd expect it to be faster but that could be between 3-5 days. If you have any concerns you can contact your bank. Or if more time goes by, you can get in touch with us to investigate.

First & last time I'll be using Ping as a payment option!! Wat makes matters worse i had clicked on it by mistake in th payment options!!! Been checking my bank account all day waiting for my money from a sale on saturday!!
I didnt realise once th funds are transferred into my account it can take a couple more days to show!! Its gone out of ping this arvo so it SHOULD be in my account now!
I DONT understand WHY it is not INSTANT!!1 -
The amount transferred from the ping account to the bank card is very small, only a few hundred, and it doesn't match the actual sales bill. Please find out why and tell us how to correct it.

Xuzhou. Do you still have a balance left in your Ping account on Trademe? Does the amount transferred to your bank match the corresponding transaction on your Ping Transaction page? As payments are transferred at 3pm each day, there may be sales after that time that are still in your Ping account, and depending on your bank, payments may take a day or 2 to arrive to your bank acc.
Best check the details in your Ping account here on Trademe. If not correct, contact Trademe.

Under withdrawing you balance -> automatic withdraws ->
"Ping balance is automatically transferred to your bank account seven days a week.
Is this the case for everyone? My Ping account is set for automatic withdraws but nothing has been withdrawn last weekend or this weekend. Weekdays seems to work fine.

Hi, I hadn't bought on tm for a coupla years. I just bought some stuff and it said I paid by ping. Huh, I don't even know what that is, and was especially dumbfounded when I was charged a fee for each transaction. Deplorable. Is that because it's ping.
Or is that TM charging me and the seller.

Hi Puti, there is no charge from Trade Me for paying with Ping (our tool for processing card payments). The amount you pay is the purchase price of the item, and any applicable shipping.
I think it would be worth contacting our Customer Experience team on Live chat for them to take a detailed look at the transaction to see what's what.0 -

Kia Ora Kylie,
If you access the Desktop site via your Browser, from Manage Ping & Adding your account details you should go through to the following page which has the Save Tab as pic below ...

What happens when you get a 1c payment instead of the $1333 you were expecting but have had no contact from the trust and safety team! What a delayed disaster at both ends first the buyer hadn’t used before and there was a delay for them to verify their Ping payment and now I can’t withdrawal the funds despite my ping transactions
saying it has been processed and my ping balance is 0? How long has this taken for people? With the delay in getting the payment I’m not willing to send until it clears into my account0 -

Kia Ora Tyrone,
If you refer to Gary-NZStocked's Comment further up this explains <quote> along with the 1c deposit will be a verification code that you need to enter on your Ping verification page. This confirms you have the correct bank acc to Trademe and then they can do the rest of the transfer. This verification happens just once. <unquote> - Cheers.
