New look saved searches & favourites emails
I do not like the recent new email look of my saved searches and favourites emails that arrive daily for me.
You can't see which saved search it is in the heading anymore and I have quite a few.
They just says 'Latest marketplace listing' and you have to open it to see which saved search it is.
Much prefer seeing which one it is in the heading like it's always been.
Please change it back!

Also, previously you could click on the search topic heading to go to that topic's page from the email. That link is now gone, so it is no longer a useful email. Trademe will lose a lot of searches because of this change.

How do I stop receiving the new daily listings for my favourites? I like using 3 days for getting lists of new posts matching my favourites, not 1 day.

If you go to your Favourites section which you can find at the Top of search/home pages you can set to be emailed or not, set your days to be emailed for each saved Favourite or remove them altogether. - We have 3 categories to check - Searches - Categories - Sellers
If you select to Save a Seller from the Top of all of their Listings or from within a category of their Listings a pop up modal comes up for you to select how often you want to be emailed or not. - Look for the Save this Seller Tab...

Example: Top of page

Example: within a Favourites category

Agreed - the new layout is very unhelpful on a phone screen. It's OK on a larger PC screen but see below for what I get on the phone list of email headings now.

My inbox is a mess. I'm getting multiples of the same favourite search. Please change the emails back to how they use to be.

Agreed the new emails are not user friendly on mobile phones. Can not see what the search is realting to until you click into it. Usually in the morning I would click on the certain ones and check my others later in the day but now can no longer do that. Not sure why they changed it, there was nothing wrong with the way it was. Need to stop changing things that do work and fix other issues that we are continuing dealing with.

Agreed. I have stopped all 'my favourites' because there are only a few items listed instead of the usual number being shown.
Trade me is getting less and less user friendly which is evident by the lack of people using it.

Agree with the comments above, the list also appear a lot shorter than they used to be. The way it displays now involves way more clicking to get anywhere, it effectively means you need to go back to TradeMe site and run the search manually again.
Can you please revert this change back asap, it is total reversal of usefulness and should have failed any change control.

Feel sorry for sellers. There was nothing wrong with the old email format. Easy to read and scroll through. Now much harder. And if people aren't looking, they're not buying. Please change the emails back to how they used to be.

Agree with all the other comments - what a mess. Emails were previously so easy to navigate and see all the new items listed the day before. Now however you only get a short preview for each saved search, a handful of items, you have to click through to Trademe and run the search again to see the full list - what's the point in that?? I might as well just open Trademe every morning and run all the searches manually. Nightmare!
Is there any way to disable the new feature and go back to the legacy saved search system that worked? For now I have no choice but to turn them all off.

I would like the option to stop getting latest marketplace listings for any favourites I have, and for my previous new marketplace listings in last 3 days to be reinstated.
I will put in place an email rule to trash anything from Trademe that is "Latest marketplace listings..."1 -
Sadly after many years of buying items on TM I no longer look at my favourites anymore, its just too cumbersome and time consuming, I see also TM have wiped out my watch listed items after 14 days. I can tell other TM members are giving up as well and this will be reflected in a significant drop in sales across the TM network. These changes have literally killed the the site for many of us, and to date TM have given no indication that they intend to fix the problem.

Also, the real estate listing emails I got formerly for North Shore, Auckland used to show which suburb for each listing, and now all show as only "Auckland".

They seem to have mucked up membernames too. One of my saved sellers changed their membername several months ago. The saved seller email from TM shows their old membername, but when I click their listings, it shows their new name. Talk about confusing.

Kia ora studio, the suburbs were added back into the Property emails on the 8th September, so they should be showing as normal now. Let me know if you're still seeing only the region in the emails and I can pass that on to the team.
Gary-NZStocked, that is confusing with the membernames, I've passed it on to the team to have a look at as well.
tlzee, if you can give me a bit more information on what you mean about your Watchlisted items being wiped out after 14 days.

Hi Michelle, yes Trade Me now has a new rule regarding professional seller listings and watchlists. A watch listed item will only roll over and get added back to your watchlist if the relisted item is in New Condition, is Buy Now only, and closed less than 14 days ago. If you trade in used items and rotate your items, as many of us do, then the connection to previous watchers is dropped after 14 days, and it won't pop back onto your watchlist automatically. Obviously, this means we will buy and sell less.

I'm still receiving some saved seller favourite emails appear as "Latest listings in Seller" in the subject line and the email body still contains the "Today's listings matching your saved search for Your saved search" - there remains no seller's name mentioned anywhere in the email or subject line meaning I have to enter a listing just to see who the seller is that I've saved, these are redundant emails coming through as they don't contain all current daily listings either.

Kia ora tlzee, I've passed on your feedback about the way Watchlisted items work, you can pass feedback like this directly to the team via "Tell us what you think" towards the bottom of Trade Me pages.
S I've also passed your favourites experience on to the team who are working on those emails, they've added it to their work.

Has the feedback about the phone-unfriendly notification email headers also been passed on?

Thanks for confirming it is being addressed Michelle 😊

Whatever changes have been made in the last month to the email format including the time they arrive needs to all been changed back, in my opinion. They have worked perfectly for years.

Previously I didn't get email notifications on some of my saved favourites, despite all of them having the 'email me everyday' checked. A slight annoyance, but I lived with it. But at least the emails I did get showed the ALL of the latest listings AND the price. The new emails only show a few of the listings and some don't show the price. This means I'd have to go to my favourites everyday and manually click on all the 'favourites' in turn and then click on sort 'latest listings' to see whats new. I don't have time to muck around with that. It effectively makes the emails pointless. If these changes are trying to get users to engage more with the site, it is not working and is having the opposite effect. Whomever has been making all the 'improvements' to TradeMe over the last few years has basically killed the site. The numbers don't lie.

Totally agree with 50bmg.

Thanks Michelle for tagging this with the team. As others have said, I only get a few listings, and when I go search many more come up so they are somehow not getting included in the emails.

The new favourites email letterhead "TradeMe" no longer hyperlinks through to the site so we can go direct to the front Homepage to utilise any functions, menu's or sight the brief what's happening promo's, competitions, up date notifications etc. we are restricted to opening a Sellers item to link through to the site, navigating back to the Home page. Linking direct to the Home page was valuable to view categories listing widgets, site events and access to most functions through top menu's.
