When is TM going to do something about consistently bad buyers who collect RED FACES as a hobby
Something that I get really tired of, and one that TM could easily improve our "online experience" on, is buyers who buy and never pay - constantly. It means under buyers are missing out and while the seller wastes time checking to see if payment may come. Why does TM tollerate these people? There are no consequences for their poor behaviour, and gives an ongoing poor TM selling experience to everyone else. According to research, people often do this for the dopamine rush of buying stuff without actually having to spend the $$ - go figure!
Example: Had a low price item bought by a person with 88% positive feedbacks - first thought I had was "Ill be lucky to get paid" and 11 days on, have been proved right! Sure there are times when a sale does fall over for legit reasons, but to amass 14 neutral feedbacks and 43 negative feedbacks out of 449 buys is just pathetic. They have only had 2 feedbacks for sales as well - 1 positive and 1 negative. It dosent end there as when I place another Red Face on their feedback list, I have to hold my breath to see if Ill get a retailtory one in exchange. If so, next its needing to go through the process of having THIS removed. All for a princly sold price of an unreceived $1.50.
Interested in peoples thoughts.

I say bring back the Blue Kiwi, so if a seller as to apply for refund, Buyer & seller get a blue Kiwi, even if seller does not place feedback, and seller can comment on theirs, that member ????? did not complete the trade, warns other to check other parties feedback giving them opportunity to blacklist these bad Buyers,

Trade me is no longer in the business of seller protection it is just a farce.
recently a buyer claimed they sent photos to me of a damaged item which they never did and imagine the hubris they also said that they need to inform trade me about whether the matter is settled because it appears that they had informed trade me about the fact that they sent me photos and Trade Me had contacted me and i informed the Trade Me that it was settled.
the fact of the matter was they never sent me photos, they never contacted trade me and Trade me never told them that I had informed Trade Me that the matter was settled. I found all of this out when i requested a phone call from Trade Me security. It means the buyer not only made a false statement about me they also made a false statement about Trade Me because in actuality they never sent me photos or contacted Trade Me. I have sent all the email communication to Trade Me and asked them what will they do about all this.
The icing on the cake was they were using an email address to communicate with me which was different from the email address they registered their account with and I repeatedly asked them to use their original registered email address.
On the phone call Trade Me assured me that they will look into it. YET the buyers account is still active to this day. I wish i could name the trader but i cannot because I risk serious repercussions if i do all the the name of one sided buyer protection.

Sharon , I recently dealt with a seller, who made false claims that they talked to Trade Me within 30 minutes as I raised issues with item I received, and she TRade Me said blah blah etc.?, which I called B.S. straight off, as we do not have chat now?, no one else can talk to Trade Me so how can this be?,
I ended up filing a dispute, sent their B.S E-Mails photos of crap I received etc. Go my money refunded, and to this day have sold nothing else on that account?, may have shot themselves in the foot so to speak, as they think some of us buying on personal accounts with low feedback are idiots?, but in reality big time users on Intrade accounts,
Yes, there are some really dodgy buyers and sellers out there, that cannot tell the truth which will eventually catch up with them, like time buyer claimed never received their items, claim was filed with carrier & they got a full refund, few weeks down track they listed the so call missing items to on sell, same identical defects etc?, that account when poof!, which makes me think they had done it before too,

I was unaware we needed to report these types of things. Surely TM have the data at their fingertips? It must be a simple process to automate warnings at particular Red face percentages and then ban the offender after that.

I think they do have systems in place nali9 They like to see feedback over 95%. And a feedback rating of -2 is generally an automatic disablement.
There are difficulties in a pure feedback percentage checker. An otherwise good new trader who has an unjustified bad feedback or 2 could have a rating of 80% or even 50% even though they might not actually be a bad trader.
Some even argue it's better to leave accounts with not great feedback. Especially sellers. Buyers can then be alerted to them as someone they might not want to buy from. Otherwise if banned they will just make a new one and start all over again with a much better record to start with. Rinse and repeat.
One of my competitors has close to 1000 negatives. I don't mind that they are not banned. It's a point of difference that steers buyers my way. If they were banned they would no doubt start again with a clean sheet and people might be more inclined to look at their items favourably instead of mine.
