@harm_less I have stopped listing altogether. I don't have a website but i was a tiny tiny seller to begin with. If Trade me can do away with people for breaching their trust. I have returned the favour! I think they are breaching my trust. my sales as i said before ware just a tiny tiny drop in the grand scheme of things. but imagine if many people like me just didn't bother listing anymore. You can still prevent people on forums from accessing your selling profile and your listings: 1. Click your name 2. Click edit Profile and  Enter an Alias in the form, you can prevent anyone from visiting your selling profile and again prevent them from engaging in fake listing reporting.

I remember having username on comments as being a bad thing the main reason being there were tons of trolls on the old on Trade Me forum discussion system and if anyone did not like the things you said or even as trivial as disagreed with you, they would engage in fake revenge listing reporting. i.e. if some participants in a topic forum did not like you they would immediately get your username look at your listings, and then make multiple fake reports on your listings. and Trade Me as ususal did not really bothered checking the authenticity of their reports. I have experienced this and I r...

Today, all my listings have expired and I have absolutely no motivation to relist again on Trade Me. As a seller I always offered ping and bank transfer payments but preferred ping to be honest. But what i absolutely object to my intelligence being insulted and being treated like I don't have a brain. I have maintained 100% positive feedback and only I know the effort I have put in for this feedback, being a tiny In Trade seller. I Object to these statements in Trade Me's communication about changing payment options and i believe this is just a farce for money gouging. 1. Kia ora Sharon, To...

One more problem - just to mention I responded to you Victoria and my response to you has just gone into pending status. because the powers that be do not like dissent. Another reason to leave.

  • Sharon commented,

Hi Victoria, It is not just that Ping is being made mandatory for all users. In trade sellers can no longer accept bank account transfers as payment. plus the ping fee has been increased. I could be mistaken but as i understand it the same does not apply to casual sellers. I had listed out about 5 issues with the changes over the last 2 years. it has cause a lot of pain for all users. I also take issue with the way the Trade Me communicated the change. the communication was poor only insinuating that inTrade sellers are dishonest and I find this despicable "To create a safer and more stream...

I have come to the conclusion that Trade Me want to simply get rid of all the non-store in-trade sellers.

Trade Me have outdone themselves again. slowly shooting their own feet, one toe at a time. 1) User Interface changes to website that just look good and that's it no real benefit to their users. 2) ever increasing fees and money gouging! 3) practically no customer service or method to contact them 4) Changing payment methods 5) partnerships with courier services that are very low quality (Aramex) Five more toes to go! Congratulations on driving all your In-Trade users away!

you could consider going to the Trade me help pages as below and click the chat icon at the bottom right (marked in red) and ask trade me customer service for assistance on the trade and what the seller is telling you. and/ or you should go to the listing page capture screen shots where the seller had provided the ping payment option and contact trade me regarding what the seller is now telling you. Based on how trade me advises you, you can then contact your bank regarding next steps on the payment that is on hold.
