Issues with Watchlist
Hi all, I have approx 300 odd listings & am in-trade. Up until last week, watchers would roll-over when I relist my items i.e item is on someone's watchlist, item closes, item is automatically re-added back to watchlist upon relisting.
All of my listings go back to zero watchers upon relisting now & I know that at least one of my watchers isn't receiving any emails to say the item has been relisted.
I spent quite a lot of time gathering screenshots for TM helpdesk only to be told that the watchlist roll-over is not available for people in-trade.
I can't see anywhere where it states this & TM just keeps closing my help requests after each response they give me.
I sell some niche items & the watchlist roll-over suits me well so buyers don't have to search all over again.
Has anyone else had an experience like this?
Thanks!

Kia Ora ferman,
I can confirm I've just had 6 items close from my Watchlist which have been Relisted and all 6 are back on my Watchlist from an In-Trade Seller as well as receiving Fixed price offers for 4 of these items. - Cheers.
ADD: - A further 4 items from In-Trade Sellers which have been Relisted are not back in my Watchlist. - There is no rhyme to reason as items are from different In-Trade Sellers.
The Watchlist Help file still states as below...

There's no differentiation between In-Trade or Casual Sellers.

I'll keep an eye on my listings as they close and relist to see what's up. Perhaps older listed or created items are still rolling over, and newer listings aren't. Linked to the old / new systems perhaps.
The advice Trade Me gave you ferman was definitely incorrect. At least for some items or sellers. I am in-trade and so far my listings are being relisted with watchers intact. For example this one that closed and was relisted this afternoon:

EDIT: To add, I am using My Products. Perhaps if you use the standard method of listing, and are forced onto the new system, watchers don't carry over. Or something?

It's a mystery to me, I've just had another 3 Listings from a different In Trade Seller again which have all been Relisted & are back on my Watchlist though you could be interested in the following Listings as they could hold a key...
Relisted though not on my Watchlist

FPO & Relisted appeared on my Watchlist

ADD: - The other 3 In Trade Seller's are a mix of FPO's & Non FPO's = straight Relists - they are all Stores.

Thanks for your responses!
I'm pretty relieved to see that it might not just be a 'me' problem. I will keep you posted on what TM say.

11:am 14 April 2026
UPDATE:
Declining FPO's automatically removed the Listings from my Watchlist However the time I declined is incorrect - the following 3 show we haven't reached that time of day yet. - They were declined after 10:am

2 Relisted items remained on my watchlist after being relisted, neither of those had an FPO - both were from In Trade stores. - There has been no update to the watchlist Help file therefore it's expected relists should be on the watchlist.

That's interesting.
In my case, I hadn't offered any fixed price offers that week. I put some FPO's out with today's unsold items & relisted others. The relisted one's have gone to zero watchers & I'll post the result when my 1 day FPO's close tomorrow.

I received "relisted" emails from the half dozen or so items of yours I watchlisted ferman

Someone else who put a few of my auctions on their watchlist haven't received emails upon relisting. No automatic re-add either.
Either way, as per TM's documentation, items are meant to be automatically re-added to watchlists. Something is amiss.

Yes! I have received the Relisted emails for all of those closed on my watchlist also. - The emails are coming through just not the auto add to the watchlist for all.
ferman, it would pay to get the Member you know who had your item on their watchlist when it closed to check they still have this option to receive the relisted emails selected on their email preferences in the Desktop site.

Hi S, under Email Preferences, Relisted Items, Auctions I placed a bid on or added to my Watchlist is selected. So they should recieve the emails.

Thanks ferman,
Check their spam/junk folder incase the emails have gone there - the other check is to ensure they have the TM site emails added to their email whitelist/safe sender list, found also through the above link, - if they have the next step is to contact staff to enquire if these emails are actually being sent out to them, if several are rejected back to TM they put a hold on sending further. - Cheers.

Hi, the email is not in their spam folder & they are receiving emails to advise of items being relisted by other sellers. As well as all the other notifications TM sends through for when auctions are ending etc.
You've both been a great help thanks!
I have raised 3 help requests via TM help desk for this so far, the first 2 were closed after they responded & they haven't replied to my latest one yet.
I will wait with bated breath...

I am In trade and I have roll over watchers.

I sent out 4x FPO's yesterday as one day offers. All offers expired so I relisted & all auctions have zero watchers after relisting.
On a positive note - I have confirmation from TradeMe regarding watchlist rollovers: "I can 100% confirm with you that watchers on all listings whether you're In-trade or a casual seller, do in fact roll over to the new listing"

Thanks ferman,
That confirms there is an issue with some relisted items not being auto added to watchlists. - I have a query in on this as well as the recorded FPO decline timeline being vastly incorrect.
How did you get on with relisted emails not being received by some Members?

Can you confirm if your relisted items which the Member in your comment above on the 14th April 2026 had put on their watchlist though never received a relisted email or had the item placed back on their watchlist, did those relisted items roll over with a member count or had the count gone to zero like those recent ones on the 15th April? - This would be helpful. - Thanks.
