Would you buy from an Australian based seller?

I have rellies in Aus and have tried to buy on here and have sent to them directly, but as there is no filter for Australia it makes it hard. There are country filters for even Poland and Israel for example, but not Australia so they are simply lumped in with NZ. Back in 2024 Australian listings made up 3.8% of listings. Maybe I should compare now and see what current % is.

Update. Trademe have now disabled the old categories page where we could select Australia or any of the other countries to see only those listings plus see all of the categories and sub-categories, so no idea how many Australian listings there are now, plus can't see sub-cats to check where things should be. That's progress for you.

Kia ora alex2300 and Gary-NZStocked, this is something we're already working on, with listings that are created on our new system you can filter for "Australia" under the international filter. This feature will be available in more categories as we continue with our updates to the site.

I've run a few searches on different items/categories and so far haven't found the Australia filter. - Thanks.

Kia ora S, sorry, I don't have a list of categories where this has been rolled out to, but as an example it is in Art supplies & equipment. 

Michelle, that really is a mess. Yes there is a new location dropdown that does show Australia, but as soon as you use the Refine this search button or even do a search for anything at all, it reverts back to the old location button which does not have Australia. Yes, I've used the Tell us what you think, link on that page.

Kia ora Gary-NZStocked, yes, it is a work in progress, some of the features are not yet available or fully functional on the new system. Where features are missing it reverts back to the old system so that you are still able to access them. The team are continuing to work on it.

To answer your question, Yes! I have purchased from Australian Sellers on TM and would do again, I can't supply you with the shipping cost as my purchases have come via free shipping within nz as tracing back through my Payment confirmation emails confirm. I also have family living in Aus & like Gary I'm keen on purchasing items to send direct, currently I purchase from Aus companies who can send direct for me as I've not found available suitable options in TM. - Hope this Helps.
