At what point is someone finally banned?

Hi Cameron. The first thing you need to do is actually report that member to Trade Me. Sometimes people wonder why members are still active on here with bad feedback. Often it's because nobody has bothered to inform Trade Me.
Go to Live Chat tomorrow and mention it. Or if they have auctions running you can Community Watch one and let Trade Me know that way.
Trade Me in general say they like members to have a 95% rating, and will take note if the account is below that level.

Thanks so much , their feedback is 85.2% so I will let them know tomorrow

Kia Ora Cameron,
Sorry to hear your news, That's a great teaching in knowing to thoroughly check through a Traders feedback in future to avoid being caught in this situation coming forward.
All the Best with Happy Trades ahead - Cheers.

You would think that since Trademe present to us the sellers feedback rating on every listing eg 85.5% they would once a week or even daily, run a script to alert them to a drop below a certain % rating of any member's feedback and get someone to look at them before more people get caught, rather than rely on the hit and miss approach of waiting till another member spots it and uses their own time to report this to Trademe, if they know they can and should.

Yes Gary I agree - Community would reflect more positively on the global stage without harsh issues like this occurring so is in their Best Interest to clean up offenders. - Imagine a Positive Community Helping Others through minor 'How To's' on a Global platform - That would be Amazing! And definitely worth a business striving to achieve! - Cheers for your comment 😊👍

Thanks everyone for contributing here.
We're grateful to anyone who reports either listings or traders to us - it's very helpful when you spot something and let us know. In addition to that, we have some other methods and tools for monitoring feedback. We also have processes we follow regarding those who are striving to improve their feedback, or simply not improving where they need to.
I'll pass on the suggestion made here by Gary. It may well be one of the behind-the-scenes things that we already do, but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks!

Lucy,
I have been trying to work out how to solve this problem I have.
The listing is no 4022878622
The item in question was sold Thus. 9th March.
The item was paid for but no postage was included.
They received it on the 13th March.
You can see my attempts to get them to pay the postage ( some 7 emails ) have met with no response
I realise now that I should not have posted the item after belatedly seeing their feedback record.
Can you do anything to help either with advice or getting them to pay the postage.($11 20)
And lastly with that appalling feedback record how are they still allowed to Trade?
In the text of the sale I had written
'In carton 260x100x80 mm and 1.5 kg' then 'I do not know if you the buyer are rural
or where. You can google NZ Post, see the cost and buy or not.

Hi David, sorry to read that there have been problems getting that postage paid. If you contact the team on Live Chat, they will be able to reach out to the buyer for you. The will also review the buyer's feedback and take any appropriate action required.

Lucy,
Can you or someone please help me? PLEASE? And I mean someone from TM.
I have tried Live chat and there is no category that I can see that will lead me to a solution or an answer.
Can someone please look at listing 4022878622 Reference 22043108
You can see that Ingrid (or someone) contacted the buyer which finally produced a result and unfortunately a Red Face.
Can someone please review this for obvious reasons
Thankyou, Dave R

Hi David, sorry to read about what happened. Just as Callum advised, get the feedback report filed and the team will investigate.

Really??
This doesn't answer the OP's question at all.
TradeMe is proving more and more that they only care about the money, and not their customers.0 -

Hi Paula. If you're unhappy about another members' feedback or conduct, reporting it to us so we can investigate is the right course of action.

That's exactly my point, I've sent you guys countless emails regarding issues I've had, but because you guys don't seem to care about your customers, nothing has happened.
I keep getting told that issues can take up to a couple of months to sort out, which is BS if you ask me, since Auctions drop off after 45 days.
My friend was blacklisted after seeking legal advice about a purchase gone wrong, but yet others are out ripping people off (feedback has very little to do it, since feedback isn't compulsory) & nothing gets done about it.
Very very frustrating for legit users.
