Moved to Australia
AnsweredHi
We have just moved to Australia from Wanganui. To still sell do we have to use Ping or use our Australian Bank Account.
Thanks

You could let people in Australia pay by bank deposit to your Australian bank, but you would have to let NZ people pay by Ping as it costs more to pay to an overseas bank. Or, do you still have your NZ bank acc that people could pay to maybe.
T & C says..
If we approve you to use Trade Me Marketplace from a country other than New Zealand, you'll need to offer buyers the option of paying by at least one of: Ping, Pay Now, Afterpay, or payment to a domestic New Zealand bank account.

Kia Ora Stu,
Yes, if TradeMe approves you to use Trade Me Marketplace you need to offer buyers the option of paying by at least one of: Ping, Pay Now, Afterpay, or payment to a domestic New Zealand bank account.
Please Note: If your Item is likely to attract customs duty for buyers in New Zealand, you must ensure that this is clearly indicated in your Listing.
While you can buy and sell on TradeMe while located in Australia, you will be liable for customs tax and duty, extra packaging and courier fees, and a longer shipping time.
An important clause to note:
4.2 Your advertised prices must include GST and you're responsible for your taxes (for the most part)
If you are GST registered ...
You must tell us if you are a non-resident for GST purposes and if your residency position changes. If you are a non-resident for the purposes of New Zealand GST law and you sell Items to New Zealand buyers, you must provide us with a GST exclusive price for your Listings and we will add GST to your Listings and return GST to the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department.
In limited circumstances where a buyer is an Australian resident and purchases an Item, we take care of the Australian GST.
To contact a TradeMe Staff member directly: for clarification and/or approval you can get in touch via their "Live Chat" facility to obtain instant answers & assistance Or by Email. If you go through the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this, or any, TM page yes you come to a drop down form which is used for email Or if you give the page several seconds the 'Chat' bubble will come up in blue at the bottom right of the page - if it is busy for you the que position will come up and I find this moves through to an operator quite quickly. If you type your message in before hitting the 'Start Chat' this allows the operator to reply with an almost instant answer or for further info' ensuring the chat session is a swift experience. The 'Live Chat' manned normal business hrs Monday - Friday are 8:am - 6:30pm & Saturday - Sunday 8:30am - 4:pm NZ time although please note they are running in holiday mode hrs atmo' until 4:pm NZ time through this week - if you find yourself in a Chat que for longer than a few minutes and a message stating the likes of 'We are receiving a significant number of high volume calls atmo but a staff member will be with you shortly' doesn't pop up for you, the que may have not switched to holiday manned hrs so best to end the Chat and try again the next day.- All the Best - Cheers.0 -
All of the options given of Ping, Afterpay and Pay Now for Australian members require a NZ bank account and that requires a NZ address. If you wish to increase your sales dramatically then you need an internationally accepted payment method like PayPal. I would advertise a lot of things on TradeMe if I could get paid for them in Australia. If I buy something it is relatively easy.
