Afterpay

With Afterpay buyers can purchase items and receive them straight away - while paying them off in four fortnightly interest-free payments - and the seller gets paid up front.

Afterpay for sellers

When buyers use Afterpay as their payment option, sellers get paid up front and Afterpay organises payment with the buyer. Once you're registered for Pay Now, Afterpay will show as a payment option when you're creating listings on transactions valued up to $1,200.

Once the sale is complete you’ll receive full payment up front (less fees) within 3 business days, and the buyer will arrange payments with Afterpay. You’ll also receive an email with payment confirmation and delivery details, and can ship the goods as normal.

There are no setup costs but you do pay a 4.95% fee of the total value of the purchase, including shipping costs if your buyer opts to pay using Afterpay. This fee is additional to any success fees you incur on a sale.

For example, the longer you have been a customer with Afterpay and the more purchases you have successfully repaid, the more likely you will be able to spend more. Restrictions are tighter for 'new' customers (first six weeks) until they get to know you.

Afterpay are aware it can be frustrating to not know exactly how much you can spend each time, but their rules and approval process help Afterpay responsibly offer a completely free service to their customers.
