Sellers please giver buyers choice of courier

I hear you Gina and I have actually taken to requesting a different courier of choice via the Q&A on live auctions prior to bidding - Most Sellers are Happy to oblige as they are able to do via TradeMe book a courier also.

Meantime, as the receiver you can make your own contact enquiry with Aramex also, you can go direct to their Contact Us page from the web search Or

1) - if you go through the Aramex Contact Us on the top right of their menu, from their tracking screen or any other page you will come to a screen where you have the options to contact the local depot Or submit a parcel enquiry.

2) - Aramex  now have a 'Chat' bubble which you can find in their tracking & other pages in the red box bottom right of the screen - that said it is through their Whatsapp & cookies must be enabled on your browser to use it.

Hi, thank you for your reply, I made an inquiry three days ago, like there service there has been crickets.  We actually only live a short drive from the base here in Richmond.  So my husband has just been down to see them in person, apparently they do not have enough drivers in Nelson/Richmond to deliver the freight so Aramax pay Courier Post to deliver and because we are aramax “customers” they make us wait a day or three.  It should arrive tomorrow!

Hi there Gina - there is also another option;

You could ask the seller to package the item, and then you organize a courier from your end to go and collect it, you would still provide the seller with your address etc. and ask them to leave it out somewhere safe, and then you could book whomever you were most happy with, pay them yourself and get your item that way.

We have found that Pack and Send although expensive are an excellent service.

Unfortunately this problem is down to Trade Me.

Back in July they decided that as from September 30th we wouldn't have the choice of inserting free text when creating our shipping templates ie I could list options for Aramex AND Courier Post.

We now have to use their templates - the idea being that it would give buyers more clarity around shipping - ie cost and duration. Although we select the couriers when creating the templates the couriers do not show on the live listing, so we have a selection of different options with no courier shown! I've had to use up some of my precious character allowance to try and point out to my buyers that there is a choice between Aramex and Courier Post.

I did have a conversation with Trade Me back in July and pointed out that the end result looked as though the buyer had no choice and was told ' This is actually a ‘bug’ in the system that we're aware of and our tech team is currently working hard to get it fixed up as soon as possible.' I have heard nothing since and nothing has changed with the templates.

If you could get in touch with Trade Me and raise the issue that might help.

If they say aramax or nz post i ask for another option
If none available i go elsewhere
Ive lost over 20 items in last 3 years
