Extending an expired listings free as stated on website
I had a motorhome for sale that cost over $200 to list. It was listed for 14 days, then the listing expired, I could not extend the listings as stated in the terms and conditions, could not get in contact with anyone from trademe, Extremely disappointed with the whole setup. This seems to be a common occurrence on trademe. I am considering moving away from trademe to another selling platform. I do not want to list the motorhome again unless someone from trademe can assure me I can extend my listing if I want too.

Hi Max if I was you I would use the live chat option to chat live with someone from the Trade Me Customer Experience Team just go to the Contact Us section at the bottom of any page and then click on the blue speech icon on the bottom right side of that page then type in talk to a person and you will be connected to someone that you can then chat with live. There are a lot of issues at the moment with the new look Trade Me website not working correctly for some members due to the upgrades Trade Me have been making some functions are not working as they should or are missing completely which is very frustrating for those members affected.
I am sure if you explain your situation to Trade Me they will be able to help you out in my experience I have found them very good to deal with and talking with a real person is always better in my opinion.
The live chat is only available during business hours which are Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm Sat-Sun 9:30am to 4pm.

yeah, strange things are happening with the trademe system at present. even the watcher details disappear at the end of some auctions, sometimes you cant do a quick relist, sometimes photos are shown in a different shape and size, some listings show zero watchers and views in the summary table but when checking each individual page there are plenty.
after more than ten years with trademe this is the worse yet. yes, sadly i do not have time to waste for hours to wait for a live chat which only will defend the latest trademe 'improvements'

The Live Chat pick up within a minute normally during the Business manned hours & the Chat session itself can be over in a few. - If the staff member needs to collect more info' they will come back to you in an email - you are emailed your Live Chat Transcript which you can reply to and add / ask any further info' you need to. - I find the staff on the frontline there very Helpful.
With the photo's there was a discussion on photo sizing cutting down images when this first started in the Motors section last year - some good pointers are commented in regards to taking Landscape pictures in place of portrait and on sizing your images to be compatible with the new view.

S Community SuperuserKia Ora Max,I'm a Member just like you, I'm not TradeMe staff, - your Motorhome should be able to be relisted within 45 days of the Listing first closing - Relisting is free for Basic Listings, any extra promotional fee's are charged again.If you are having trouble relisting your Motorhome reaching out through the Live Chat as SJ has suggested is the best way to get help there & then with relisting, you are only charged once for a Basic Listing when you initially start the Listing - Cheers.0

Kia ora Max, the listing duration for a motorhome is up to 14 days, after that as S said, you can relist within 45 days for free with basic listing, but any promotional extras are charged again.

I want to thank everyone for their help. I felt very frustrated and wanted to vent my feelings. I am not the greatest computer person, I took your advice and finally found the live chat icon, followed his instructions and extended my listing. All your encouragement made me try again, thanks.
