Are items that is in watchlist not appearing on lost list?
Confirmed bugThis week and last week I have had two items that I didn't bid on that were on my watchlist not appear on my lost list.
I have received notifications of the item about to expire (On iPhone 15 pro) but once expired. I was not able to see the listing on my lost listing. The auction is gone to thin air, can't find it anymore.
Doesn't happen to all listing, just a handful
Just wondering if anyone have seen this happen?

I use the Desktop site and can view all Listings which expire from the watchlist on my Lost items. - There has been an update from TradeMe staff regarding viewable items which go through their New System that can only be seen on their App & New Look site - perhaps if you can get back to the Classic (Old) TM site these Listings may appear there? Otherwise a search through the system with the Listing number may bring the expired Listing(s) up for you. - Cheers.

Hi mastatrad3r listings from your watchlist that have closed not appearing on your lost list has been confirmed by Trade Me as a bug in their system that they are aware of and trying to fix as you have said it affects some listings and not others which is very strange. I posted about the issue a few weeks ago you can see that post by clicking the link below. Also it would pay to let Trade Me know that the issue is still happening either by contacting them using the live chat option or clicking on the tell us what you think section at the bottom of most pages that way they can get more information from you if they need to regarding the listing or listings you have noticed it happening on.
I suspect it depends on what version of Trade Me the seller is using to create their listing as to what happens when the listing closes but I am just guessing that’s the cause.

It would be good if TM mark your Post with the Confirmed Bug Tag & move it into that category in the Drop down Post links. - When you search the system using the Listing number do these expired Listings come up for you?

Yes it is what version the seller has listed the auction.Any auction with a reference number of KP-***** does not show up on desktop whether you have won it or not.It only shows up on the new version app. on my phone.I won a auction,paid for it straight away & then when the parcel arrived I had no idea what it was as I had forgotten I had won it as I do most of my transactions on my laptop (desktop) & it was wasn't on my won list.TradeMe has known about this glitch for many weeks now & don't seem to be in no hurry to fix it !!!! And yet they still charge us the same success fees when their site is broken or am I wrong in thinking this ?

I don't know what the listing number is. Does anyone have the URL for the old lost listing page? I remember it used to be an aspx page. it would switch according to screen size.
Guess these scenarios weren't covered in their e2e or unit tests <.<

Hi S yes the listings do come up when I use the listing number to search them but as they are not in my lost list I have to find them by using the expired listing search as I don't have the listing number. I now screenshot my watchlist so I can remember what listings I had on there so I can then find them using the listing title in the expired listing search if I want to when they haven't appeared on my lost list at the time they close. Usually I am not interested in most of my lost listings but some I like to keep a track of.

This is the Link you're after though I can't guarantee it will take you to your Lost Items if you are locked out of the Classic site. - In this case run a search through the expired listings Refine Tab using part of the Listings name - All the Best - Cheers.

I do the same I take a record of the listing page for all items I put on the watchlist as I can get the full picture information (normally most the images are cut so badly on the website they are intentionally misleading to both sellers and buyers so you cannot see items being sold with much of them cut off), and a copy of the price information as Trademe intentionally hides this after an auction has completed (breach of the Fair Trading Act).
TradeMe can no longer be trusted to keep an accurate record of what was listed, sold or lost. It cannot even be trusted to give the auction win prices on the listing pages as New Look does not show the price information of what lost & sold or missed & fixed offered items cost (the whole area is completely gone on listing pages and in lists in the New Look design). New Look design also will not show seller contact information for many trades and only the older ones may have it shown but not in many views (the site is completely inaccessible so contact information is often removed - not reliable or responsive breaching the accessibility POUR conventions)
It is sad that there clearly was no user testing and no basic testing of the New Look style and they are in direct breach of the Fair Trading Act by hiding and removing information from the view of buyers.
It takes less then a couple minutes to lodge a case with the commerce commission and I would advise this as the New Look changes get much much worse once you are forced onto New Look without the ability to return to old/desktop style. Most functionality of the site is removed and many family and other users will & have been mislead/tricked by the exceptionally dodgy design (and since they will struggle to make reports it is good to make reports early so it prevents further harm to others as well): https://comcom.govt.nz/report-a-concern

I wasted 48 minutes on TM Chat yesterday trying to explain this problem & get an explanation of the issue.
Clearly TM were well aware of the problem altho' you would have no idea of this from the support persons response on the chat - requesting a screenshot; details of my brower; desktop or app; etc.
I'm sick of raising problems with TM that I'm certain relate to their app systems changeover but am led to believe that the problem rests with me - something that I did or didn't do!

ALSO not working at the moment is the ability to rotate a photo either when uploading for then editing from laptop. The photo appears to be rotated when but when "done" isn't retained as rotated & says that it can't be edited.
It's not worth trying to get an eplanation from TM as it would be likely I would be asked for endless unnecessary details such as brower; desktop or phone; ad-blockers; clear cookies etc.

Jennie I agree with you with all the issues going on site wide at the moment you would think Trade Me staff especially the chat staff would have a daily briefing or at least a memo or email to keep them informed of any current issues so they are aware of them when members contact them with an issue. I do feel for the frontline staff who are no doubt fielding numerous enquiries from members having issues with the upgraded site it seems to be never ending at the moment. And what makes it worst is some things are working as normal for some members and partially working or not working at all for others.
I asked about a issue recently and was told it sounded like a bug after giving them all the information they asked for they came back to me and said the issue I was having was actually a new feature Trade Me had added but the chat staff had not been informed about it.
