I don't get any emails to add a Book a Courier on my business account (Even though I don't use it, and have some free shipping items) But get plenty on my personal account. To me that suggests that I have something ticked on the email options on one but not the other. You could maybe check there Phillip to make sure you have everything turned on / off that you want. There is no specific one to stop those emails, but they maybe fall under deals/promos or similar. I'll add the link below. Don't forget there are more options under each drop down main title that appears. https://www.trademe.co....
For sellers using the shipping templates, which most in-trade sellers do actually have to use, TradeMe ask which courier is being used when a listing is generated. However. For whatever reason this info is not available for the buyer to see. So your idea already exists, in a way. It's just that TM have decided to not make that visible to buyers. Maybe they intend to change it in the future so buyers can see it. Or maybe it's because of difficult people like me it becomes too problematic.
Hi Geoffrey. The problem with that (for me anyway) is that I use a range of different couriers which can depend on many things. Size of item, if they are combining purchases, where the buyer is located, if they have an RD address, even the time of day the purchase is made. I can't easily specify a courier when I make a listing. There is also no way I would want to drive to a depot to collect my incoming items. Apart from the obvious time and financial costs to do that it kind of ruins the whole door to door aspect of why people use courier services.
Hello Shahima. Likely legitimate. I've had a few today from them. Must be a new tranche of scammers out there or a bunch of accounts got compromised. A good quick check (Applies to most emails you get not just Trade Me) They will usually address you by name. Scam ones will not mention your name or just say "Dear customer" or similar. Genuine Trade Me emails will always start with "Hi Shahima" or whatever name you have registered on your account.
If you are wondering why the fee refund is immediate or you have to wait. Usually this is because of the button you select. However if you have made a large amount of fee refunds recently or the value of the refund it large, it automatically switches over to sending the email. "Buyer has not made contact" triggers an email to them "Trade won't be going ahead" triggers instant refund
Hi Zane.. You just turn off whichever emails you don't want to receive. You do that here
Trade Me in general is all over this. The seller needs to prove compliance in their listings, and be able to provide SDoC on request. Firstly I would report the sellers other items to TradeMe (If they have more listed) and especially if they are "in-trade" You can also make a complaint to both Trade Me and worksafe regarding the item already sold. Or at least threaten it if the seller starts saying they won't refund. Your client can open a dispute for this item on Trade Me from their "Items I won" page.
There are some categories you are not able to change from. Motoring is one. If you have listed in Motoring you have to stay within that. But otherwise you just hit edit this listing and you can change the category on the next page. This is assuming it has no bids of course, if it does you can't edit a listing at all.
You didn't mention what you are selling. The process can be slightly different depending what it is, and of course not everything can be listed as a classified. But for example in vehicles, you are asked which format you want as you list it. See the image below.
Hello bmunga. You cancel it directly with the courier. Then contact Trade Me to get it refunded. From the help file
