I think you should have been firmer in the first place marriott76. You said you gave them a fortnight, but then really it was you who let that drift to 5 weeks. You could have cancelled the trade and relisted immediately after that initial agreed time was up.
Hello El-Fonz. Have you done some basic troubleshooting at your end to make sure it's nothing with your device? If on App try a full close and restart. Make sure you are running the latest updated version. For desktop try a cookies / cache clear. I had a quick browse around in motoring now and couldn't find a problem. Is there something specific you do that causes it? I could see if I can replicate it.
Hello stratwack1 No, I'm not personally but that would because all my items have shipping costs stated. I do support Trade Me pressuring sellers to provide shipping costs if that's what they are doing. In fact in my opinion it should be pretty much compulsory. It might mean some changes so there can be more options for shipping opened up, but really there is no reason you can't add the shipping costs for ANY item if you are going to allow shipping?
Couldn't agree more terramist. I get that it's not a critical thing, more of a "nice to have" so it's potentially down the list of things to fix. Still, if they aren't going to fix it anytime soon then they need to remove the link or have it lead to an error page explaining it's not currently working.......
Hello AJ. How did you manage to open an enquiry with NZpost when there was no tracking number? I thought that was impossible. Did you just send a generic email, rather than fill in the specific missing items form? It will be interesting to hear back what NZPost say about it. I suspect it's going to be a pretty generic "Sorry, as there is no tracking there is nothing we can do" Unless there was a very specific event they know of affecting a large volume of mail in the area.
You need to get strict marriott76 You said you would give them a fortnight. That has passed. Why are you still allowing them to string you along? If you give an ultimatum, stick to it. Give them a further 48 hour deadline if you must, then cancel the sale if they still haven't collected it. Ping Buyer Protection is 30 days. You are getting close to the 45 day limit for feedback as well. Post some positive or neutral now explaining the buyer hasn't yet collected, and change it to negative later if needed.
If this item is not collected by <<<insert time/date of your choice here>>> storage fees will be charged at $20 per day. If the item is still not collected after all your funds have been used in storage fees the trade will be considered abandoned, and the item will be disposed of. I've threatened this before for tardy buyers. Legally it might not be something you can actually do, but it usually gets them moving...........
Thanks Michelle, the team has been in touch.
Hello troygreg. Yes, you are. You refund the full amount. The Ping fee will be refunded to you automatically.
Maybe I didn't understand what you meant yotm07 Do you mean they purchased it then are refusing the price they bought it for? If so absolutely you can cancel. The price they pay is the price they hit the buynow on, or an offer you accepted, or the closing price at the end if it was an auction. If they are trying to pay less than those then yes you can cancel. Otherwise, there is nothing really to report to Trade Me or any reason to cancel.
