What time should I put the parcels out by?
AnsweredI've done the Book A Courier, and said that I'll leave them by the back door because I'm not sure where I'll be. What time do I have to leave them out by? I don't really want to leave them out overnight!

It sort of depends Naomi. If you have had NZ Post or Aramex deliveries in the past, you could check the track and trace and see what time they were scanned as delivered, if you weren't home at the time. That might give you an idea of their times, but sometimes depending on where you are, they might do a pickup early and a drop off later on, or visa versa, or sometimes just one visit a day.
Each driver will be different though. I for example have Pass the Parcel come every day at about 8:30am for pickups and sometimes they make deliveries to me about 4pm. NZ Post are a bit different and seem to come at random times during the day for collections and drop offs varying from 7:30 to 4pm. Aramex are quite consistent for pickup and drop off between 11 and 1.
If you put them out by 7am, that would normally be fine. If you think you might have missed them, you can trace something that's still there and if they came to pickup and it wasn't there, it usually says, collection was attempted, but parcel was not ready, please contact.....

The time for pickup is on your Courier booking page

I have a dedicated safe spot, which is weather protected. I place my parcels in the safe spot as soon as I've booked them. If they're out overnight, so be it.. they're not going to get rain damaged or stolen. It helps that I'm up a drive, not seen by the roadside.
