Finding an expired listing
AnsweredHi, we purchased a boat and the listing has expired. Turns out the seller knowingly made false claims about it's mechanical condition and I'd like to find his profile to post appropriate feedback. Any suggestions?

Presumably this was a classified ad, in which case it's generally not possible to retrieve a copy of the listing to get the seller's details unless you have saved a copy of the listing yourself. I just picked up a boat this afternoon that was a classiffied and although everything was great when I picked it up and the seller was very good, I saved all the photos and the complete listing once I agreed I was buying it and handed over the cash so I have a copy of everything. If it was an auction you won, then feedback is available from the link in your items I won page, or emails. I had contacted this seller by phone but followed up with an email through Trademe's Email the seller link in the listing, so we both know who we are from the emails Trademe sends us. Just keeps everything tidy.

Kia Ora John,
Sorry to read that has happened,
As Gary has indicated, you can find the Seller's details through any email correspondence when you Won/Purchased the item. - Check your Draft & Sent email folders also.
You can also get details from your Bank Statement of the purchase and possible Member name &/or Listing number(s) unless you paid by cash.
If this was a Classified Listing you will not be able to place feedback - Classified Listings are like placing an ad in the Newspaper, items are sold outside of TM and therefore no info' is retained onsite.
If this was an Auction and your Seller placed Feedback for you this would be a quick search Otherwise you may find the Listing through running a Search of the Original Listing number Or through an Expired Listings Search by scrolling down the Refine page...
With Auctions TM can Access your account history - For Won items they can provide the Listing ID, auction title, listing start/end date, reserve price, Buy Now price, sold price, sale type, seller's username. - You can contact a TradeMe Staff member directly for assistance with this, if it is an Auction, via their "Live Chat" facility.Unfortunately Feedback can only be placed within the first 45 days of the Listings closing however if this was initially placed within this timeframe it can be changed at any stage beyond the 45 days once only.TradeMe will be interested in looking into any false claims made by this Member in their advertising also enabling them to take appropriate action.- Cheers.0
