Someone has asked me a question - but it's personal and a bit weird...
Answeredand I don't want to answer it! It's not appropriate. I would like to know if other traders can see that I have a question I haven't answered? (I have blacklisted the asker) I know if I answer the Q it will then go away... Surely we shouldn't have to answer some questions...especially when the asker hasn't even bothered to bid, so there's a real question about their interest or why they are asking.

Hi Sharyn. Most questions can't be seen unless answered. There are a few exceptions like in motoring. However it will be visible on closing. What you can do is ask Trade Me to remove the question. Community Watch your auction and ask for it to be removed.

Indeed Sharyn, community watch is the way to go here, it is a little sheriffs badge at the bottom, of every auction.
Just write something like this : "Hi there! I am reporting my own auction, I was hoping that you guys could remove the question from user xxxx it is highly personal, and completely irrelevant to the auction, I have added them to my blacklist, but it might also be a good thing for you guys to message him as well, reminding him about the policies of not abusing the Q&A feature."

I have tried to do as you say - but not sure it has actually gone through. It relates to 4448844378 and wonder if you could please remove the question on my auction. It has nothing to do with my auction and I don't want to deal with this individual. He is calling me his mate and I find this offensive, don't know him, or want to, so have blacklisted him. Thank you for your help

Sharyn we are just members like you , not Trade Me staff. If you have reported the question they will hopefully get to it eventually. It does take time sometimes. If not, it's probably not the end of the world. Calling someone "mate" is common kiwi vernacular. You have blacklisted them so they cannot participate further. No real harm done.
