Buyer Will Not Communicate
AnsweredI have a big problem. One of my buyers is like a black hole - information goes in but does not come out. He has bought 25 items and is not responding to communication going back nearly 4 weeks. I have sent several messages to Trade Me seeking help but none is forthcoming - so Trade Me is now becoming part of the problem too not wanting to get involved. I feel completely unsupported and on my own. Worse, my buyer was on my blacklist for not paying but has reinvented himself under a new user name with a false name and is continuing to buy, but not pay. What am I supposed to do with 25 items going back nearly a month where the buyer will not communicate or pay? Trade Me's help system with its pull downs does not cover the situation where a buyer deliberately buys a large number of items and then does nothing leaving the seller is a whole mess of trouble?Where do I go with this mess? Hi Grant your best option would be to use the Live Chat option which will allow you to talk directly with a actual person from Trade Me Customer Support just click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page or click on the link I have added below wait a few seconds and a blue circle will appear bottom right of the screen click on that and the Trade Me Support Bot Tautoko will appear to quickly talk with a person rather than going through the list of automated Bot responses type in the message box “talk to a person” you will then be required to enter a few personal details after which you will be able to talk directly with someone from Trade Me Customer Support and get their help.
You will need to wait until after 9:30am tomorrow when the Live Chat option is staffed see the operating hours below.
Contact Us link https://help.trademe.co.nz/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket
The Live Chat operating hours are Mon-Fri 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Sat-Sun 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Outside these hours Live Chat will not be an option and you will only receive automated responses from the Bot.

Kia Ora Grant,
You should be applying for your success fee refunds after 7 days No Communication/Payment from your Buyer! - Refer to Apply for a success fee refund
Applying for your Success Fee refund through your Sold items should be a 3 day turnaround. - "Live Chat" if no response from TM from there. The Contact us Link in the bottom of the success fee refund Help page article will bring up the correct form for you to complete which is recommended for a fuller investigation into the 25 claims you have including reporting this Traders multiple accounts.
I trust you have Blacklisted their second account now also and Highly Recommend placing All 25 Feedbacks, warning other Members of this Trader's behaviour - Cheers.

Have a payment deadline on your auction, example, Payment must be received in 3 working days etc.
conditions they have agreed too when the bid or use buy now,
after day 3 send out a reminder or two, I give a 10 day deadline, (as things do go wrong in our lives to be fair) money must show in my account by 11am cut off day, this allows overnight payments to show,
If you make payment later to try and complete trades money will be refunded, (otherwise some never learn).
after that send an E-Mail to say Trades now cancelled etc. Blacklist, Place feedback as warning to others, get fees back & relist.
Keep your E-Mails friendly and factual,
I have had the same E-Mail Template for well over 15 years, which Trade Me like, as all points covered,
and no problem getting those retaliations removed,
