Item claimed by seller to be no longer available
AnsweredI won a small table and paid the seller for it. The seller then informed me the he was shifting premises. I informed him my brother was coming to Wellington last week to help me transport the table. Before I could collect the table he claimed it was no longer avilable! His words were "it is gone" !! and refued to tell me where the table is located.
Should I report this to the Police as it is plain theft, or is Trademe able to intervene and produce a solution?

First thing is to ask the seller for your money back. Once you have money back you can decide to take it further or just buy elsewhere. By all means start a dispute with Trademe and they will at least email the seller reminding of their legal obligations and make a note against their account.

I wish to " start a dispute with Trademe ". Please advise how I do that ( I have always found it difficult to communicate with the Trademe masters when the need has arrisen. )
