Seller fridge description does not match the reality

You may be eligible for a refund if you receive the item from an In Trade seller and it stops working, or is faulty, within a reasonable amount of time after purchase, as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act./ we are completely consistent

Kia Ora Feifei,
This is the community forum you are on here, we are members of TM just like yourself - we are not TradeMe staff. This community forum is in place for all members to help each other where we can.
How long ago was your purchase? - What has happened or why is it not as expected?
In Trade Sellers have different mandates to Private Sellers - you may like to Refer to Faulty and unsafe products | Consumer Protection to learn your Rights here as a Buyer.
As you have no resolve after contacting your Seller, If your purchase is less than 45 days ago it should still be in your Won items, you place a Dispute resolution report from the Tab in your Won items.
If your purchase is more than 45 days ago and the fridge is Faulty you will want to report this to TM staff through their "Live Chat" facility for assistance there & then during the manned hours of 9:30:am - 5:00pm during week days and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm
All the Best - Cheers.

Yes fridges are always tricky. They lead to many problems on here. Here are some things you must do. (For anyone else who stumbles on this post)
1. Make sure the fridge is working on pick-up. Ask the seller to plug it in an hour or 2 before you arrive to confirm it is cooling.
2. Transport it upright. Never lying down. Unless you really know what you are doing. You need to make sure the discharge pipe is facing AWAY from the compressor. If you lie it down this can cause compressor oil to move into the suction and discharge pipes. YOU CAN STILL USUALLY RESCUE IT! It can take 24 hours or more for the pipes to become clear again. So if you think your fridge "isn't working" Just leave it plugged in and turned on. For 2 days if needed. This can even take months if you have done something really silly like store your fridge upside for a year.
