Received Trade Me email asking for my bank verification code
AnsweredI did a buy now and paid via credit card. I received an email supposedly from Trade Me asking for a 4 digit verification code from my bank statement. I have never had this before and don't know if its a security risk or not. I have tried contacting Trade Me twice now but haven't had any response to date.

Kia Ora Kim,
To contact TM through their "Live Chat" facility enabling staff to investigate - Once you've selected the Contact us Link at the bottom of any TM page you need to give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for the Chat Tab to Pop up in blue with a black speech bubble at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
The manned hours weekdays are 9:30:am - 5:00pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmKeep an eye on your Emails for phishing - Don't open these and Most importantly Don't click on any Links - Phishing Emails with the pretense of being TM can be forward directly through to the TM Trust & Safety Team using the abuse@trademe.co.nz email address.Good on you for querying this - Cheers.0 -
I have completed the Live Chat form twice already and still no contact from TM

Cheers Kim,
To contact TM through their "Live Chat" facility for assistance - the Tab you are looking to go through as in pic below...

Once you've selected the Contact us Chat Tab you need to give the landing page a count of 15+ seconds for this Chat Tab in pic to Pop up at the bottom right of your screen, there is a slight delay in this appearing.
If you type in the first window Talk to person the bot will transfer you to a staff member who corresponds with you then & there after you've entered your details - Cheers.0 -
