Not Receiving My 'Favourites' Emails
AnsweredI have about 20 searches saved as my 'favourites', but for the last few years only receive emails for about four of them. I have tried editing the frequency of the searches and resaving them in the hope of fixing the problem. The reverse happened and today I only received two emails.
Is there a cap on the number of 'favourite' searches allowed?
I am pretty sure that the problem is not that there is a lack of sellers' listings to report on.
Can anyone offer any advice on this please?

I don"t think there is a limit as I have about 30 I get each day ok. You can check if there are any listings that match your search by going to your favs and running the saved search from there. I have a few that give few results on saved search email but plenty of results when run live from favs.

Yes I have done that and there are definitely listings that match my 'favourites', I am just not receiving emails for them.

Interestingly I have only had 2 of My Favourites saved searches come through email today also! - Would your saved searches not coming through email be in - Searches - Categories - Sellers - Or a mix of the 3? - Have you checked if All of your saved ones have active listings? - I have noted quite a few of my saved Sellers are not actively selling atmo'. - I confirm, like Gary, I haven't noted a limit on how many are able to be saved to my Favourites or emailed through at a time, I currently have 337 saved - Cheers.

The searches I have saved are mostly all for specific designers in a specific category, but I do have a seller or two as well. The two that came through today are for designers in clothing.
I did a manual search to check on one of my saved searches and there were many results, so in that particular case I would definitely expect an email, but have not had one for over a year.
Some of my saved searches are somewhat obscure and I would only expect the occasional email, however many of my saved searches used to produce results, but then stopped completely. In some cases I have not seen an email for years.
When I have some time I intend to delete all my saved searches and then set up new ones in the hope that this will help.

Yes, redoing them is the possible fix. Quite often category id numbers are changed or added to and this can break searches so they no longer work if you search is category specific. Good luck.

A quick trial of deleting and re-saving from new path of 1 from each sub category - Searches - Categories - Sellers - may give you the result you're looking for to confirm if the problem is resolved - though avoiding the obscure ones in test of course - Cheers.

How does one get in touch with TradeMe to let then know that I haven't been getting emails of additions to My Favourites for some time now?

I have no idea how to get in touch with Trademe.
At the moment I am trying various options to try and get my searches reinstated. Today I deleted all the searches that don't work, verified that there are listings for them, and resaved them as 'favourite' searches.
Will find out tomorrow if anything has changed.

Partial success since I resaved my searches. I made sure I saved from the 'new look' trademe pages and I am now receiving emails for some (but not all) of my searches.

Are you receiving all other TradeMe emails Ok?
Have you added the TradeMe email address's to your contacts or safe-sender list?
Have you confirmed your Saved Favourites have current Listings?
If Yes! you can contact a TradeMe staff member direct to take a look at what's happening with those outbound emails for you.
To contact a staff member directly for assistance if you select 'Contact us' at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Live Chat Bubble will Pop up in blue at the bottom Right of your Landing page screen, enter in the Chat window Talk to person below the Bot text suggestions, next to the paperclip icon, to be transferred through to the staff line. - Enter your Listing number in the chat window also, enabling staff to pull it up readily.
The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pmAfterhours you can leave a detailed message through the same path and a staff member will email you back during manned business hours. - Cheers.0 -
The favorites emails are not working - per the topic title - only some or none of the favorites are sending daily emails. The suggestion to add the sender to favorites is frankly a poor solution - that is old thinking - and it does not help in my case as there are no Trademe alerts in spam. Look at your SMTP logs please Trademe.

Sorry you've not understood,
Favourites are only emailed daily if they have added New Listings or Relists - if there are no New or Relisted Listings you won't get an email that day even though the Seller may have other Listings running.
Adding the TradeMe address's to your white List or Safe sender List does resolve this issue for a number of Members who aren't receiving these emails - nothing to do with spam. - Now you have said you are receiving some emails it sheds a different light on your issue. - Is it the Same Seller you're Not getting emails from or are you receiving emails from All Favourites though only occasionally? - If you have specific Favourites you're not receiving any emails from & they are Listing currently you may like to Delete your saved Favourite & Re-Save it from new to see if that sorts your issue.
I can't look at the SMTP logs, I'm a Member same as you - I have given you instructions on how to contact TradeMe staff directly so they can check what's happening from their end for you. - All the Best!
