Can't place feedback

I am having a problem placing feedback on a trade. In won items I click place feedback the enter my text in the box and click submit feedback. Then I am constantly getting...
Oops, there was a slip up!
Something went wrong (banana error 500).
This has never happened before. Can anyone help please?

Callum Community SuperuserUnfortunately the error messages are not at all helpful these days. Could mean anything. More than 45 days have passed, you already left feedback, you are not logged in.......

Hi Callum. Thanks for the reply. I just figured it out. I was a couple of characters over the 500 character limit. You are right about the vague error message. Thank you for you time. It was kind of you to reply.

Feedback placed has a limit of 500 characters - check if the length you've entered is within this scope - Cheers.

Hi S. Ta for the reply. Yeah I was two characters over the limit. I had a wee bit of a rant / constructive criticism. Haha. It would be nice if Trade Me errors were more precise. I have noticed these vague error messages over the years but this is the first time it has been a frustration.

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserWhat would be even better than having error messages would be if Trademe used a text field character counter on those forms like they do in many other areas eg in My Products. In MP the counter changes to -2 etc in red when you are over the allowed limit so you know, like below.

Happening again, this time I wish to leave feedback for 2 items I have sold get the
"Oops, there was a slip up!"
VPN disconnected and refreshed , different browsers , cannot leav FB, advice please , not over 45 characters , a basic great trade message is all I want , i cannot even get to the position to place the FB before the Oops arrives

Hello Murray. Yes, the errors on Trade Me are very unhelpful. Very few, if any, tell you what the issue is.
For feedback make sure that the time limit hasn't passed (45 days), and/or that you haven't already placed feedback. Sometimes I get caught out because I am trying to leave feedback when logged in on the wrong account. I have 2.
You can also try leaving feedback via the app if you are trying on desktop, or vice versa.
