Item not recieved, disappeared from purchase list and sold to another buyer.

by email from Trademe.
I paid for it by PayPal 14/3/23.
I haven't received the items and the transaction has also disappeared from my purchased items list.
The seller insists it was sent to me but when I click on the link in the email from Trademe advising me of the successful bit the item says "This item was sold to another member." It also shows no questions have been asked, although I had asked if shipping to Australia was an option.
What's going on??

Hi Stuart. Yes, after 45 days items disappear from your record on Trade Me. As do the Q&A on the auction
The answer here would be to chase it up again with the seller.
Being an international purchase they may not have used a tracked service. That would depend on what was arranged between you and the seller at auction closing. But even if they didn't use a tracked service they can open a case with NZPost to try and find the item.

Sorry to hear your trouble with this.
When you click on the link from your TM email and go to this closed auction are you logged in or out of TradeMe? - if you are logged out the message will read as you say - "This item was sold to another member."
I can see No questions asked on this auction either - did you receive a response to your question?
You can asked the Seller to confirm the address they sent the items too - this will tell you if you are indeed expecting a parcel or if somehow another Member received this.
It is the Seller's responsibility to track the parcel right the way through to delivery to you - <quote> ensuring the Item arrives in the condition as described in the Listing. <unquote>.
As Callum has offered your next best step is to follow up with the Seller again advising you have not yet received these items - please can they track it for you.

Yes i am logged in (without VPN) when i get the "This item was sold to another member." message.(In fact, I have to not use my VPN to make these posts.)
Anyway I have contacted the seller again with your 2 suggestions.Regards

Sorry to read you're still waiting for your parcel,
Have you been given a Tracking number? - This may be in your Won items if your Seller used the Book a courier system or recorded it there for you. - If you have no Tracking number, when you make contact with your Seller, as Callum has advised, request this from them so you can follow the progress of your parcel.
A couple of important dates, TradeMe only offer Buyer Protection for items purchased by Ping or Afterpay if a Dispute Resolution report is filed within the first 30 days of the listing closing and offer assistance in corresponding with Seller's beyond this and for internet banking or cash purchases if the Dispute report is filed within the first 45 days of the listing closing. - Feedback can also only be placed within 45 days of the listing closing However once placed within this Timeframe the feedback can be edited once only at anytime pre and post this initial 45 days.
As your approximately 24 days into waiting for your parcel, if you have paid by Ping or Afterpay, if you have no response from your Seller in a couple of days, it may pay to action a Dispute report, these can be cancelled as/when your parcel arrives - Also place a friendly Feedback which can initially state 'Still awaiting receipt of parcel' or similar.
