Overpayment from buyers
AnsweredI have 3 buyers who have overpaid, only by a dollar or two each. What's the procedure here? Am I supposed to put change in the package? Or contact each one to refund electronically? It might be because they're seasoned online shoppers & think my courier fee estimate is too low? Or that the product is worth more than I charged? I have accidentally undercharged some (which is totally my problem, due to packaging size & shape) so do I just accept the extra & move on or is there a policy which says I should contact each person & go from there.
None of them have emailed me to say why they paid a bit extra.

If they paid by ping, you can do a partial refund in a couple of clicks, then email them to let them know, which is what i normally do, or if they paid by internet banking, email asking for their bank details for the refund. Some will say, thanks for your honesty , just keep it, others will appreciate the refund. People will generally be more pleased if you email rather than them having to ask for it.

I place in a packet inside the parcel and email them that they've got change. But if you are going to use a lot of bubble wrap and cardboard etc to package an item sometimes I don't refund.

I E-mail & ask for bank account to refund, 9 times out of 10 they tell you not to worry about it, go buy a coffee etc,
which reminds me I asked someone a couple of days ago to refund $5 & have not heard back?,
Their address is rural, they paid rural, but booking it classed it as Urban,
