Address issues when booking a courier
AnsweredI am fed up with trade me always saying an address I want a courier shipping to and from does not exist. Really frustrating and I’ve been given excuse after excuse. Seriously thinking of closing my account. My sales customers are not happy at delays .
anyone else suffering similar ?

No, 99.9% of addresses are fine - occasionally there may be a problem, but usually manually entering the address corrects the problem. If I get really stuck I pop over to the NZ Post website for clarification. I guess what would really help is if buyers could provide their address details in the correct format.

I do enter manually and it is correct format. address. It’s a glitch in their system causing all the mess and it’s time it was sorted. I have been selling on a regular basis and this is just happened in the last two months,

Trademe have nothing to do with sorting delivery address's, (unless it's TM's App that contains the checker thats failed)
The courier companys supply TM with their own address checker App & thats what you are using regardless of what you see on TM.
Each delivery agency (Ie: couriers/ post etc) have their own address boundary's / specific locations & yes, been picking on them all for that for many years but can't see it changing anytime soon1 -
I haven't come across any glitch and I do quite a number of bookings each day.

Thats just another typical TM random issue since they started the live upgrades
I get it all the time when using several different couriers.
I address I had was physically on the left of the Auckland motorway but the courier designated suburb address was on the other side of the road (about 3kms away)
Each courier use their OWN delivery boundary maps which overlap other companys maps including NZ Post0 -
Tried and tried but kept being told an address needed updating even after altering to nz post criteria. Don't need this makes a simple trade into a nightmare

Have you tried the manual entry as explained here...?

Well you should try living in a National Park... all our mail is delivered by courier and goes to Post Boxes only at the Hotel. If you put the Hotel address in or any other authenticated addresses it says it can't deliver std mail there ( in Address finder) but if you dropped it into a Post Box with that address on it in a courier bag it turns up. It gets here easier from USA and China but not from Auckland

NZ postcode and rural address verified on nz post website as correct, yet trademe booking app repeatedly refuses to complete courier booking. I am copying and pasting the address to the tm app, so I know it is correct. nz post says I have to address the problem with tm as the issue is with the app.

When this has happened to me - there is usually a typo in the address that you are sending to or the postcode is incorrect. I go to the NZ Post website and verify the address and that usually that solves the problem.

@Yvonne you are a life saver! Trademe kept erroring for me saying I needed to fix my pick up address. I tried over and over again to fix it but the problem persisted, even when copying and pasting directly from the NZ Post website. After reading your comment about checking the address being sent to, I checked it and it turned out the postcode was wrong for that address. So thank you! Life would have been so much easier if Trademe's error indicated it was the destination address that was the issue and not the pick up address.

I am so glad it is not just me!!!! This is the most annoying frustrating thing ever!!!
I don’t bother with the book a courier thing any more because I have a %100 fail rate with the address even if it was working last time it will not work the next time I try and have to redo the whole address over again. I just go to the post shop now, saves my blood pressure going up.0
